I got the car ready for you bitch..

Sorry, i sat in mine for awhile after the first round, went into the store to get some kool-aid, came back out and it was gone. :( That ship been sailed.

I'm praying that OKC makes history in these next 3 games.:please:

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Yes you did Killa. You were one of the few objectionable ones to call it like it is on the earlier pages when folks were saying Miami had no chance in hell against the Thunder no matter how well the Heats defense played.

If I'm wrong about something I will admit it. I said a year ago I felt the Lakers would win one more then the Heat would play OKC and beat them in the Finals to start off their run of chips.

That is and was my prediction if I'm wrong I will say I'm wrong.
The Heat are the best team in the East. Hell when I thought the Nets were getting Dwight I said many times the only way the Nets could even challenge (not beat) the Heat would be for him to come in the off season and keeping brook lopez. I said this last year

Yea I don't agree with the owners and stern is trying to do. I understand their point but it doesn't make it right.

The Knicks would be hurt by this. The Lakers and other teams. I know they are saying this will level the playing field but come on

And to floss this isn't steve a this is adrian woj of yahoo sports. I think he will be on Jim Rome today to talk bout this.

My team is in the east but to be honest I don't hate the heat or feel any way about their success.

Owners will bitch they can't keep their stars because of the big three and all of this but that is excuses.

I have no problem saying Miami is the better team. Some people felt Melo and Amare joining up that they could see Miami.

I'm call things the way I see it. Always. Hell I feel my team should let Deron go to Dallas and just suck the next couple years because they shouldn't even try to build a playoff team right now. They won't be challenging the Heat.

If anything this has been one of the toughest grueling seasons ever.... And who ever wins it worked very hard to get there... And if you look at the Heat road to glory, it has been as tough as any I can recall in years...

Props to the Heat...even though they still have 1 more to get...but I think you are exaggerating a bit. The East did truly have an injury plagued playoffs. The Heat got Bosh back just in time. And the refs are still undefeated in the NBA Finals so...

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 2-1)~-~-~

The difference in the series has been Harden, PERIOD. When you have a guy who was the 3rd pick overall in the 2009 draft and all you're getting out of his is role player numbers in terms of production, that's killing the Thunder.

He's essentially doodoo..plain and simple. Needs to be on the trading block for a big, athletic post guy to give them some kind of inside presence. And BTW, Ibaka and Perkins are giving them absolutely ZERO inside. And it's not like they are playing against Gasol and Bynum. They "should" be killing Miami inside, but BronBron has better numbers than both of them in the paint and that ain't even his position.

They need to put Harden and KP on the trading block for a legit post player who can at least keep defenses honest inside. All Miami has to do is gaurd the perimeter and it's game over.

And you can fault Brooks, it's actually AMAZING they've been able to make it this far with the bums they have inside. They need to go after Javale McGhee or D'Andre Jordan and just cut ties with Harden. He's not ready for primetime...

You know there is a wing in Bellevue hospital mental ward filled with 1997 Utah Jazz fans, who right now are repeating those very same words.. Over and over again...

This has been the toughest most grueling contest I have seen between two teams in a decade or more hat's off too the Thunder but the Heat are Balling playground style, I love to see Chalmers and Cole out there those guys are gamers, Cole is a little soft on his dribble, but when his confidence builds up look out, but in another year or two the Heat is going to be to deep for anybody to fuck with if the roster remains the same, these guys got to much swagger right now, of any NBA team heading to 2013

Dude... just name the team you favor over them going forward... or all your talk is for nothing.
Why do you keep focus on the east while ignoring everything else thats been said? But if you wanna play the asshole route i can oblige. Chicago and whatever team gets Howards ho ass will contend with them. And again lets not sway too far away from my original point, as currently constructed this team is no fucking dynasty.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 2-1)~-~-~

AAnd watch Thursday night Chalmers is going to go the fuck off along with Cole if he get's playing time, Thursday's going to be a rout

This. Miami has been just toying with OKC for this entire series. They could have easily won game 2 and this series would be over now. This series is easy for them defensively because they are essentially playing 5 on 2.5. It's basically the Miami Heat vs. Durrant, Westbrook, and a half player in Harden. Series is over. OKC now has a confidence problem. They now know that unless they play a perfect game, they can't beat Miami. When Westbrook scores 43 and Durrant scores 28 and you STILL don't win, that really leaves guys scratching their heads on what they need to do to win.

Where do I mention the East in my question?

Im talking about championships.

Who do YOU favor over them going forward?

Its retarded to say Chicago will contend when we dont know what a post-injury Rose will play like. Its even dumber to mention the team Howard will go to since... we dont know where he is going!

You know what, with those two teams you just mentioned... forget i even asked your opinion.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 2-1)~-~-~

Theory (not necessarily truth)

Kobe is getting older. The league needs a new face. They can't use LBJ if he doesn't have rings. Globally, he's more marketable than Durant. Hence, the ref out. This reminds me of how the Lakers magically came back against Portland from 15 down in a matter of minutes. There were a couple of suspect ref calls there too but no one mentions it. Good thing for Heat fans is that NBA rules mandate that the face of the league must have multiple titles.

No knock against LBJ because I've never hated him but it's hard for me to look at the league as anything but suspect since the cp3 trade this summer, the draft, etc.

Hope I'm wrong.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 2-1)~-~-~

One thing is for sure. If you are going to be down 3-1 you want to be down in a 2-3-2 format potentially winning and taking that momentum back to okc stadium.

Would not count out okc at all. If they win this next one they are comfortable.

Role players like harden and ibaka live at home.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 2-1)~-~-~

Aside from some bullshit offensive foul calls I can't understand why or how OKC can have 2-3 6'10" dudes on the floor and settle for so many jumpers. It's cool that Westbrook got 43 but I saw several trips down the floor where they didn't even try to establish anything inside and just decided to live with jumpers. The Heat are decent defensively because of their athleticism but these dudes let Miami completely deny them anything in the paint.

The half-court O looked like trash, transition D looked like trash.

I'm not taking anything away from the Heat but OKC gave them this game from the 2nd quarter on.

more coming

iz4Q9dZUVpKWc.gif

Fuckin Hysterical!

Westbrook did his thing today. But that doesnt excuse his previous mental mistakes.

Harden has really been shit! I dont understand how you play your ass off all season...including most of the playoffs...but then just become nul and void when your team REALLY needs you.

If OKC had discipline and passed the ball like the Bulls... then they could really be unstoppable consider the amount of talent that they have. One of the main reasons why Miami has been able to stop them defensively is because too many of OKC's players like to play one on one basketball...hence making them predictable.

BTW....i know folks are considering it over...and understandably so...but imho if OKC wins Thursday (and I think they will)...then the pressure is back on the Heat going to OKC for one or two games.

Are you drunk? Your original response directed at me did so.

Im talking about championships.
Then you're truly silly for discounting an entire league (including the one filled with 25year old studs they are currently playing) and stating that this team is a dynasty going forward.

Who do YOU favor over them going forward?
Read my post on the matter again because clearly you havent done so.

Its retarded to say Chicago will contend when we dont know what a post-injury Rose will play like. Its even dumber to mention the team Howard will go to since... we dont know where he is going!
Howard will make a contender of whatever teams he goes to. This is the nba, a player of his presence has that ability (and im no Howard fan). Where were you when he took a bunch a mediocre talent to the finals? And Rose blew out a acl. This isnt 1976, his recovery is a safe bet. The only thing "retarded" is acting like this flawed Mia team will run off multiple titles without a overhaul.

You know what, with those two teams you just mentioned... forget i even asked your opinion.
Done.

I call them the avengers because a three stars came together to accomplish a goal and looks like that is about to happen

And I call them the nWo because they and their rent a fan fanbase (ok some of them are legit) are trying to be on some hostile takeover shit.

Come on, to be fair, the Heat did the same thing teams like Boston, Lakers and even the Knicks have done, just that it being LBJ the media has hyped it up, and people, especially CAC's wanted them to fail so badly, they went all out to shit on James hard...

True but those other teams never caused such a level of arrogance. I think that's the main thing that rubbed everyone the wrong way.

I think James, Wade and Bosh were over giddy and got caught up in the moment like young kids often do.... But to be fair James said he thinks the Heat was going to win multiple championships, not that they were going to win it.. Ask any player does he think his team is going to win, and most good ones will say yes... Is this arrogant not really, I call this being confident and motivated to win.. But if you noticed the part of the interview they never play is the part where Jams said noting is set in stone and that they will have to earn the championships...

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 2-1)~-~-~

Once again Miami win the rebounds 40-35 if Okc doesn't win that battle they lose the game.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 2-1)~-~-~

Damn, just how much money did Jon Barry put on OKC? This muhfucka WILL NOT let it go. When OKC wins, it's because of OKC. When the Heat win, it's because of OKC. He just refuses to give the Heat ANY credit.

IDK how this shit wouldn't be over because I'm just watching and these teams are too close in talent and okc will not get calls I don't see how it would happen
