~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 3-1)~-~-~-~

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

At the same time, Miami could be up 3-0.

I like Durant as a player but people saying he is impacting the series have to put his statistics into context.

I agree about him being "contained" because his stats just aren't having the impact that you'd think and the people blaming Westbrook are looking for a scapegoat.

I said before this series you'll see two things: 1) The Heat will win in 5 games 2) The series will prove how much better LeBron is in comparison to Durant.

Looking forward to seeing Game 4 and if Brooks will make a move to insert James Harden into the starting lineup.

The refs are containing Durant. The Heat are containing Harden.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Like I said some of the fouls are his just like some of Lebron's fouls are his the difference is Lebron don't get 2 or 3 bull shit fouls added to his total. I saw two plays that make my exact point last night. Neither one of these I think Lebron should have been called for both in the first half. One play Harden beat LeBron to the spot on the post and Lebron banged the shit out oh bitch ass and got the position, which he should do but Harden was there first. Another play he was trying to deny Durant the ball he bodied, pushed, put his knee in his back and pushed Durant almost out to the 3 point line instead of Durant getting the ball around the free throw line where he started trying to post. Easily could have been called a foul but it wasn't. If LeBron has a normal reach in foul or foul while being beat off the dribble he has 3 fouls. They might have to sit him. Changes the entire game. They letting LeBron play. Why the fuck y'all so against letting Durant do the same?

I can tell you never have went to a live NBA game recently. Do you know the size difference between Lebron and Harden? When Harden is standing next to Lebron on the court he looks like a child. You can't call a foul because Lebron is bigger and stronger than Harden. If OKC wants to let Harden try and bang in the post that is their dumb as decision.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Hate to do this and keep this shit going, but i know it won't stop anytime soon.

“He’s got to play smarter,” Thunder center Kendrick Perkins said. “Those were
fouls. Maybe the charge was kind of questionable, but at the end of the day, they’re
fouls. We need him on the court at all times, so he may have to give up a layup. He
just has to play smarter, and I think Kevin will.”

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Lebron is in straight beast mode right now. Heat in 6.

I can tell you missed the entire point. Point is if you allow physical play on one end allow it on the other. Put really to kill your point on looks and size difference if it's cool to not call it because he is a physical marvel then it should be cool that he doesn't go to the free throw line because he's initiating contact and he's bigger than everybody else. Either way you can't have it both ways

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

The Heat keep attacking somebody on okc going to pick up them fouls in be in foul trouble.

Durant will stay out of trouble but now okc bigs get in trouble and nobody they have to protect the paint.

Seems like okc is not accustomed to played grind out basketball and keeping them under 90 to 100 pts is the formula

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

What is impressive with the Heat is that they only have one player over 6'8 and they still out rebound much larger teams and score more points in the paint.

The Heat had 48 points in the paint and out rebounded OKC.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Damn the chicago heat bout to bulls'd the thunder

They thought they was on after game 1 then lost 4 straight.

5 game sweep.

Yea but Wade sealed the game with the steal and free throws

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

I wonder why they are keeping Durant on James?

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Lmao. Out of Durant's 5 fouls 2 were the result of "attacking"him. And those two were fast breaks off of turnovers. The cliche is to say Lebron is attacking him and getting him in foul trouble though. Lebron drew two fouls on him. Durant drew one on Lebron. Difference is Lebron didn't have 3 more pussy calls added on to his total so he doesn't have to sit.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Westbrook stopped attacking in the 4th. That's one reason for the loss. He has to penetrate or hit the mid-range. No hero ball, just good ball movement and penetration. His most notable 4th qtr shots were his missed 3s. :smh: With Durant ref'd out and the rest of the team playing so so on O, he should have done more. His penetration would have allowed him more assists.

Also, I expect more from Ibaka. A lot of mental mistakes by the whole team throughout the game.

Bottom line, OKC has absolutely ZERO in the post. Forget the numbers, Lebron is outplaying not only OKC's star players, but he also is OWNING the paint, as well. Plus the fact that OKC is almost exclusively a perimeter team, and you know you can't win a title shooting jumpshots (just ask Lebron). Add those two fact together and you'll see how Miami will dismantle them in 5 of 6 games, at most.

Let's keep it real. Lebron is not Durant and their body composition is different. Lebron is 6'8 and thick. Dude is massive and when he is driving down the lane you have two choices. Foul him or get the fuck out the way. Someone the size of Lebron who is motoring down the lane full speed.....there will be some contact.

Lebron gets some calls and other times he gets alot of contact that is not called. When over 45 of a team points come from the paint that means they are play aggressive. The more a player or team attacks the rim the more calls they will receive.

I saw Lebron one day after the game and my gosh this dude is huge. When he drives to the basket you can't do nothing but foul or get ran over.

Yea thats the think that kinda surprised me the most, even tho Miami is a good rebounding team. Just thought Perkins and Ikaba would clamp down the boards. Guess i didn't watch OKC enough, along with under minding Miami's will to win.

The way Lebron has played this entire post season shows a man who just don't give a fuck what anybody thinks anymore

My Brother I feel you. We not disagreeing. Idgaf is Lebron is driving getting hit and get his free throws call it. No problem. But then call the fouls that Lebron do on the defensive end. If Lebron can get physical and take it to niggas then let the same team play physical as well. All of us wanted to see LeBron against Durant. We not seeing that. We're seeing refs limiting Durant off bullshit calls. I'm not speaking against Lebron. I'm not saying he sucks or any of that. I'm saying you can't say that calls aren't dictating this series and let both teams play ball. I don't see why heat fans have a problem with that

And you know the only thing that can stop him? If they hit his ass with bullshit calls and he has to sit. Shit happened one time and Lebron sent the refs a memo "I don't foul out" period. Haven't had any problems since. He plays defense all over perimeter, post. Crashes boards HARD and plays defense physical as hell (the way it's supposed to be played I might add) and he won't get more than 2 fouls a game:hmm: He don't have to deal with bullshit calls point blank.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Even if Durant doesn't sit the heat are making harden and ibaka useless this is what you fail to realize

You keep harping on the Durant fouls again he was the cause of the ones in beginning that cost him later with the ref b.s

Same shit when bron fouled out when they played the clerics

Okc got more than enough scoring power to step up if Durant sit

Why you not getting on brooks for sitting Westbrook? He wasn't in foul trouble

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Because strategy turnovers not hitting shots all that shit is on them. May the best team win. I want to see a marquee match up won and lost by them not the refs. I really don't care about the heat making harden or Ibaka ineffective. So what. Even with them doing that they were down 10 and Durant was cooking. Nobody knows what the outcome would've been but it's pretty clear to see if Durant doesn't have to sit more than likely okc put up more points. Nothing effected the game more than Durant getting bullshit calls on him IMO.

And no he wasn't the cause of any fouls in the beginning. Yes he made a dumb foul. That's one fucking call. Like I said Lebron made one dumb foul himself. Same thing. Lebron wasn't in foul trouble doesn't have to play tentative because he doesn't have 3 more bullshit calls added on to him when he's doing the same things and playing the same way Durant was when he got the bullshit calls.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

Damn...what a surprise the same shit I've always said is coming true again..

The past 2 games Lebron is attacking. He had 14 jumpers in game 1 in the past 2 games he's only taken 13 combined jumpers. Bottom line is Durant can't guard Lebron unless Lebron bails him out with jumpers. People can talk about how the refs are calling the game, but the game is being called that way because they are being aggressive. Let's be real here, Lebron gets fouled far more than it's called.

The refs are not causing the Thunder to lose...it's Mainly Russell Westbrook..

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

You're wrong. The next play kd went right and the same thing happened. If you can't see Lebron push his shoulder by to let Durant feel like he has the lane then I can't help you understand what you're seeing.

this is what im talking about. he's letting durant by? as opposed to just locking him up like he does everyone else?

its help defense
its not new
its not profound
its help defense...

the thunder do the same thing... sag off try to help take a charge or get a blocked shot.

and please stop with the help you understand as if you know more.
i hate that shit...just explain your point and move on. if we disagree we disagree

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

So no one notices the Heat has pretty much exposed Harden on the defensive and offensive end?

Bosh pretty much neutralized ibaka and the Heat are making okc into a 2 man show

Durant will be fine it's Westbrook harden and now ibaka that have to all step up

they haven't exposed harden... .
come on beatdown don't do that. ive been commenting on how harden has played shitty on both ends since the lakers series... its documented.

he just plays bad... and isn't consistent he hasn't been the entire playoffs. he had 3 good games in the playoffs 1 against the lakers 1 against the spurs and he had a great game 2...
so where is the exposure? there isn't

he just isn't hitting shots he still got to the line 8 times he just is playing shitty the entire playoffs like ive been saying.

go back to page 1 i stated that whoever harden is on should get the ball and score because he doesn't play good defense... this isn't unique to the heat, this is because harden is not a good on the ball defender period...his heart isn't in it.

if he was on a tear and now he stunk id give credit where credit is due.

but harden is shitty cause he's been playing shitty nothing more to it than that.

brooks is doing his share of fucking it up
it comes down to me wanting to see both teams at full strength doing it and seeing who comes out on top
nothing more nothing less

in the end ill be happy if either get a ring

i just want it to be straight up... so next time they meet it'll be even better...

Yea. Bron, Wade, and Bosh were going after every rebound. No block outs are intensity in the paint from the OKC site.

How can you watch the games and honestly come to that conclusion about both the refs and Westbrook? He didn't bench himself in the 4th. He actually played well in the first half. He has his spurts of mental lapses but to put the loses squarely on his shoulders is wrong...imho.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

But I have always said that game 3 was meaningless for OKC. This was one game they could give up. Game 4 however, is critical for them and is a must have. Lose Tuesday and it will be tough.

If I was an OKC fan I would be afraid of the blow out game. Each series generally has one. OKC just cant have that game on Tuesday.

This series could be 3-0 Thunder EASY. The refs might as well be wearing Heat jerseys..

Heat win refs fault any other team wins they played great defense against the heat lol

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

The thing is I don't even dislike the Heat.. I just have yet to see the win a game in this series without help from the boys in stripes. OKC is playing two teams against one out there.. That fuckery at the end of Game 2 is indisputable.. Them ghost foul calls in Game 3 against Durant were DISGUSTING, Lebron was mugging niggas and OKC got no calls.. If the Heat pull this out, the 'ship will be tainted in my eyes. I can't respect this shit at all. :smh:

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(even 1-1)~-~-~

expand on this please...

guess the margin of victory, Durant having to sit(fouls called), harden not showing up....

same can be said about Miami being up.

Refs don't have anything to do with the games......funniest shit I've heard in my life
