Why are Weber BBQ grills so expensive

I've got a regular Charbroil gas grill already.

I plan to add something like this for charcoal. Just something small

my big booty neighbor on the street behind me has one of these... always good smells coming off that thing

Not with a Weber Performer. The charcoal lights just as easily and as fast as a gas grill.

Btw, no self respecting pit master cooks on a propane grill.

I agree somewhat with the propane thing, but it comes in handy for quick grilling.

summertime you get home from work at 6 or later you had some chicken titties marinating in the fridge you can cook those things up real quick and eat good

What's the point to cooking on a gas grill? You might as well cook on the stovetop.

Cooking on a gas grill is just an excuse to cook outside.

Restaurants use artificial smoke flavor. When I cook on my grill, the last thing on my mind is restaurant food. I want that real home made back yard cooking.

i can get the same smoke flavor on my gas grill that you do on your charcoal grill. just throw some soaked apple wood in the smoke box and cook the shit up. if i want to the smoked flavor the seep in more just use indirect heat from the burners

charcoal is good for a weekend get together with family and friends but if you want to cook outside quickly during the week there is no way you want to bother with the hassle of coals.

Gospel.....

This is the Weber I have. I love it. Great Charcoal grill. To hell with gas. I don't cook shit using gas....not even hotdogs.

The person who said the flavor is all in your spices doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. Charcoal adds a layer of flavor that is unobtainable on a gas grill. Compare the taste of a good steak, chicken, or ribs cooked over charcoal and that cooked on a gas grill. Charcoal wins every time. There is a reason why ALL the well known BBQ joints use charcoal/wood and not gas.

Also, it only takes 10-15 extra minutes to get your charcoal lit and hot if you use a chimney starter. Less time then that if you use the lighting system on the Weber performer. I would gladly wait that extra time to get the flavor charcoal brings. Cooking ain't about a race, its about the quality and taste of the items you took the time to purchase and prepare.

:yes::yes::yes:

Green Egg and Weber gas here.

Obviously, some here don't know what they're talking about because most Weber gas grills have smoker boxes.

But what yall know about these?:D Cuban dude put me up on these a few years back.

And these badboys can do roasts, turkeys, chickens, slabs, and shoulders too.

my Dad wants one of these for Father's Day, and I found a Cuban guy who makes his own in NOLa...sells them for $285.

now, when you need to really keep it hood...

I don't own either one, and even I know charcoal is the way to go. F*** gas, gimme that slow, old southern style BBQ on some COALS.

Ummmm, last time I checked the FINEST Restaurants
in the world use Propane and their food is excellent
actually wins awards. If you want to use charcoal as
an excuse for flavor YOUR A CLOWN. My marinades handle
my food just good. So change your charcoal ashes and burn your
food....SUCKERS!

This just sounds like some bullshit. Stop compensating for "restaurants," you know good and well you can't beat an original.
