Good one. They can go either one of two ways with Bryan: the Jack Swagger route or the Chris Jericho route. I hope they go the latter and make Bryan a real threat and contender.

Sorry Dave but we couldn't be more far apart on this one, Rock is a much better seller in the ring than Cena which is why his matches were always more enjoyable. Rock punches a lot but i've never read/heard anyone complain about it so i don't see it as a big deal. My problem with him is that damn sharpshooter, back in high school i use to call it an ankle shooter:lol:

BTW: Did anyone else see that creepy asian dude in the front row at Mania? He was wearing an orange hat and i don't think he blinked once:lol:

IDK about that one. Rock does sell but it's to the point of making himself look stupid (Stunner for ex.). He sells moves but he always makes them look too damn animated. I remember playing WWE smackdown as a kid and one of the stunners made the opponent flip like the rock, me and my niggas were like "WTF!".

But yeah, Rock's sharpshooter should make Stu and Owen turn in their graves.

Sidenote-I marked out hard as shit when Brocks music hit the PA system. I'm about to go buy WWE 12 now

Luger should've been NWA Champ, that match where the ref stopped due to Lex's bleeding and had Flair in torture rack. I was  as hell back then. But Luger heel turn was great when he smashed that trophy with the chair.

lesnar still got that mma look. i remember him as the old brock, the machine. but ill be damn if he didnt son thee hell out of cena. damn cena i cant even hate u anymore, you got ya ass whupped two nights in a row and took that shit. respect you ole fruity pebbles ass nigga
Man, all this Cena hate :smh: - damn near making me a Cena fan. Not quite there yet though

:lol: yea i thougt i was the only one that noticed... this one time when ausitn stunned his i could of SWORN this man did a backfilp THEN landed on his feet THEN stumbled around THEN did a backwards roll on the mat :lol:

Lex had some moments, man. A two months later, both he and Flair had switched.

Randomly, I totally guessed that Dave would get the 10,000th post in this thread.

:dance::dance::lol::lol:

I had my money on Dirty D to get it :lol:

The young whippersnapper tried hard but experience and the willingness to cheat and hold the tights and put a foot on the ropes put me over the top.

Thank you, thank you.

or as the new "over" guy in WWE would say

YES! YES! YES!

I'm shooting for 15k and 20k.

You had to be there, d. You're old enough to remember that most tv matches where a star against a scrub style squash matches and that's all Luger did on tv. The same recipe they used for Nikita Koloff (horrible wrestler for a while, turned out pretty good) and the Road Warriors (horrible and stiff as shit). Short squash matches on tv with them working longer matches with great, or at least better, workers on house shows. Plus back then you really had the Apter mags like Pro Wrestling Illustrated and The Wrestler pushing him and talking about how great he was.
Luger would never survived in the wrestling on tv every week in "meaningful" matches era we live in now but for then, he was perfect.
I remember vividly when he came to Crockett and debuted on World Championship Wrestling, I was shook, thinking "Oh my God! It's Lex Luger! Ric's in trouble!" and jumping for joy, JOY!, when he declared he wanted to be a Horseman. If Lex had really taken it seriously, he could have been as great as advertised but he didn't and Sting leapfrogged him.

I just remember seeing him and not being impressed with anything about him. His promos always sucked because his speech pattern is terrible, and all that flexing never caught my attention:smh:

I had my money on Dirty D to get it :lol:

 I give it to the "Cryptkeeper Dave":lol:j/k but shouldn't one of us be the mods for this because the one who started it doesn't even post in here.

Yeah, so I re-watched last night. While Lesnar's return was mind-blowing, I just don't understand why they had Cena act like a dummy and smiling. So he clearly forgot the beef that him and Brock had when Lesnar was the champ?

Hopefully they at least remind us that these two had history and John Cena isn't meeting The Next Big Thing for the first time.

But on Luger, he seemed like a nice guy. I remember Lex and Sid was in a main event at a house show I went to as a kid, and after the match Lex got up and shook hands with the fans and signed autographs.

Three things stood out last night
1. Rock showed that he had been told to hold back against Cena, because he finally sounded like Rock again and not "Rock Johnson" eww porn name:lol:

2. Lesnar forgot how to do his jumping routine last night because he looked like all white people when they try to dance:lol:

3. Cena forgot he and Brock had a feud years ago that led to him using the AA as an insult to Lesnar, i mean why else is he smiling like an idiot?

Considering that you never know when Jericho is going to go or when he's going to come back the Chris Jericho route should be the preferred one. Besides if you make him legit like Jericho he can give somebody the rub and make them look like a star. And Jericho has never had an issue with losing. Hell John Cena's first WWE win was over Jericho on a PPV.

I wonder if they mention the fact that Lesnar's last match coincided with Cena winning his first title.

It sucks to be a Little Jimmy right now:lol: They have no idea who or how bad ass Brock is. Time for the Jimmy's to grow up.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Seeing their hero get fucked up two nights in a row by guys you're barely old enough to remember.

Elementary school classrooms must have been hell today.

So I guess the rock is going to disappear again and Brock is supposed to make the fans forget about the leaving again??? Wonder if sable is going to Make a appearance haha..

Yeah that seems like a good work.

1)Somebody asks if he is coming back.

2)He says "Maybe?"

3)FCW wrestler billed as a purist comes out of nowhere blaming him for destroying a generation of wrestlers.

Thats the wrestler formerly known as Jon Moxley watched him from his start in HWA here in Cincy. Had a nice fued with William Regal in FCW which garner him some nice praise

Depending on when that was, you would have been in a small minority. Vince needs to actually use Dusty and try to hide the weaknesses of his younger guys as they develop and would still be worth a damn later. The Luger (Nikita/Road Warriors) formula works but they don't use it.

They might. But they can't seem to remember Mark Henry breaking Kane's leg from last year so I don't ever expect them to remember shit.
yeah, I bet the op never imagined his thread taking off like it did

 It's outlived the new "Monday Night Wars" and apparently the OP's interest.

I'm sure he was and when I've met he was very nice. Meeting him now that's he saved is a very memorable, pleasant experience.
He was living in his pastor's attic for a while but those WWE dvd royalties should help him out as they come in, just look at Madusa's

FORMER WWE STAR GETS BIG PAYDAYby Mike Johnson @ 5:16 PM on 4/3/2012

Former WWF and WCW star Debra "Madusa" Miceli posted on her Facebook page a photo of a WWE breakdown for royalties she was paid recently. The royalties were for Miceli footage used on the WWE Wrestlemania DVD box set, the 50 Greatest WWE Superstars of the 90s, and several other releases. The total? $306, 563.46.
Miceli recently sat down with WWE interviewers for footage that will be used for the WWE Network, opening up a relationship with the company for the first time since she left as WWF Women's champion and tossed the belt into a trash can live on WCW Monday Nitro.
That door re-opening is sure showing to be quite beneficial.

 It took them a while to fall in love with Jericho but when they did, he won a bunch of titles and was always in something meaningful.

Racist gimmick.

He's the perfect guy to match up with Foley, even if just on the mic. He's been on fire with Dragon Gate USA and EVOLVE in his feud with Sabu. WWE MIGHT have a big star on their hands if they fuck it up.

TMZ has updated their story on WWE pulling Randy Orton from The Marine 3 after Marines complained about Orton receiving a bad conduct discharge in 1999 after going AWOL twice. Cpl. Mike Vinn told TMZ:

"On behalf of all the Marines from Aco 1/4 98-02, that were outraged to hear about Randy Orton portraying a Marine in the next movie "Marine: Homefront", I'd like to thank the WWE for pulling Orton from the role when they heard about his disloyal service to the United States Marine Corps. It shows respect for not only the unit I had served in, but for every person that has ever defended this nation. Thank you WWE."

They really overstepped their bounds on that one, i don't blame marines being upset over a dude who went AWOL 2x and had a conduct discharge portraying them:smh: Think Vince

- PWInsider reports that there are already WWE talents not too happy about Brock Lesnar returning, likely for similar reasons they weren't happy with The Rock coming back.

I can somewhat understand them being upset over Lesnar, but to compare him to Rock is lame since one grew up in the business and the other took a shit on it at the biggest ppv. However Lesnar has said before that he always wanted to make good on what happened at WMXX, it does seem like the wwe is moving in a new direction so maybe some of them should shut up and see what happens.

:yes:Glad they had the sense to correct the mistake.

I agree that Rock and Brock are two very different situations so while I thought the resentment with Rock was misplaced, I definitely get it with Brock. Dude didn't want to travel and didn't want to do put people, The Undertaker of all people, over and quit after a monster push.
He's going to have to earn the boys' respect this time around because for him to walk and literally come back and get everything he wants (limited schedule, main event push) without having to earn it, sets a bad precedent.
