You really don't see the difference?

One, Rock is a heel, mocking the crowd and Steve Austin.

Two, Cena is not a heel and has had this same guy riding his ass for a year. They should be passed the "snarky smile" phase.

Did you just start watching wrestling? It's okay if you did, new fans are great, I'm just curious.

What he also failed to mention which im assuming was on purpose because he's a troll, is that this was off air and Rock & Austin have done this for years. I did  though at SCSA saying "playa".

listing my dude i'm not trying to go on and on with this back and forth shit. i see what your talking about! i'm 37 years old i can go back my dude. i'm just saying..it's not the same wwf that's we were use too, but we can't just blame cena for all of this! that's all i'm saying.but to be fare UPGRADE DAVE the way you guys are up here acting like cena is the total blame for wwe's down fall.nah!:smh: let cena turn bad ,kill this p.g era and i bet you he will still be one , if not the best heel in the company.it's not that hard, theres not to much comp there now!:smh:

Have you read anything I've typed?

If you have, how did you miss me defending Cena throughout? Yeah, I bang on him for his poor acting but they shouldn't book him to act.

I'm loving all of these throwback clips. I really miss the old days when crowds use to stand and scream. Just watching it makes me get hype. Crowds today just sit and politely chant shit. I miss it when they had actual cops on hands because people were so hype that they might really jump the barricade.

The Horsemen rub Ricky Mortons nose in to the concrete and break his nose. (Watch the blood come out of his face a Flair rubs it into the concrete.)

And he had to be sandpapered later to make it look good.

Now they stop matches when guys have the slightest cut and nobody sells any of the beatdowns for any amount of time.

What ya'll know about Mulkey Mania, the West Coast champions?:lol::lol:
Clip 1: Birth of Mulkey Mania
Clip 2: Ultimate squash match vs. the Road Warriors

 This is why they're 2 of the greatest and no one can touch them.

I swear to the wrestling Gods I hate when Rock gets stunned, he oversells that shit so fucking much it's sad. :smh:

Austin is the best ever. Rock is funny but Austin brought every emotion possible to every promo. Austin=GOAT

Mick Foley said that a bunch of wrestlers resented Mil Mascaras for not really selling very well...ole holdin' his stomach in all the time muthafucka
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Austin LOVED the way Rocky sold his stunners

I agree with the Rock overselling the stunner. Dude used to do a full back somersault.

I do miss the days when they used to really jump the barricades.

Ric Flair told a story of around 1982 in DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, Flair allows himself to be pinned by Jack Veneno to avoid the riot from the audience, but the title is returned to Flair.

Man Rock was the reason why I use to try to hit Stone Cold Stunners or my brothers and friends and wondered why they didn't fall back like the Rock did. I use to love the way he sold that shit. Nobody did it better.

Now that's how you cut a fuckin' promo for Wrestlemania!!:yes::yes:

John Cena, take notes chump!!

Ahh man you can't compare that era to this PG shit. You eliminate these type of promo's with this pg shit for children. You get guys like Cena when you go g rated. I don't even blame Cena one bit.

Co FUCKING SIGN!!!!!!

Niggas act like Cena wasn't the shit before the pg era!!

This classic shows how a monster heel should be booked. Only difference was that Vader remained a force to be reckoned with in his WCW days and not jobbed out to random guys. I wish Vader could have done the same to Hogan:smh:. This is what makes Sting a HOF, he sold Vader as a bad ass heel. Awesome how Sting was left in Vader's wake.

I think that's the issue. He's gotten so far away from what he was. Now I don't mind Cena as much as the next dude. (he's come a LONG way in the ring thanks to Ar Anderson) But his personality is not well liked with the male demographic. They ruined him the way they ruined SCSA: they made him a parody of himself.

Yo, I remember that shit!:lol:
They used to air these and other wrestling shows on ESPN after school
Who remembers Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert putting a fireball to some dude's face? :smh:

That was a Mid-South thing.

Lawler did it all the time. In fact I was BEGGING for him to throw one at Michael Cole.

I agree but it seems like cats fault Cena for the way WWE portrays him and the way they want him to be portrayed. I'm no Cena fan and yea I do prefer him how he was years ago but at the same time I can't fault the cat for being PG friendly when that's what the company wants him to be.

exactly if your boss said "don't curse at work" and we'll make you the face of the company you'd do that shit. It's a job. That nigga gotta eat lol

Cena was doomed either way, he's horrendous now but even his thuganomics gimmick had a shelf life. I do fault Cena for how he's portrayed because he seems to not even try to switch it up. When he's serious he comes off hokey except for his final promo at CM Punk before Summer Slam, and when he tries to be funny he comes off like a bad Rock clone. The WWE is at fault because they only care about money and how they get it, but Cena seems content with his status and the Kane feud is a perfect example.

Thuganomics had its shelf life like any other gimmick but it was more so his swagger(hate to use that word but can't think of anything else at the moment lol) that made him more likeable. He wasn't corny.

And I agree when he tells jokes its unbearable. To me anyway. Kids probably eat it up but yea it is corny but you put yourself in a box when you have to go out there g rated against the Rock who has a little more leeway and can go atleast PG-13 on this audience. Cena has become this "kid hero" and I hate it but if its making the company money of course they're going to encourage it. I'm not really sure what Cena can do other than continue with the corny shit he does. I don't like that corny shit or Zack Ryder. Both of them are corny as shit and when they come on TV I turn the channel. But fans eat it up I suppose.

But my whole thing is I just can't blame Cena. Seems like that's where all of our frustration is at but it really should be at the WWE. I didn't realize how g rated this shit has become until looking at some old Rock, Dx, Nation footage from the 90's. Its almost hard to even watch this shit now. Rock is doing the best he can with his limits and its gonna suck when he leaves again because we're going to be right back to the same recycled g rated shit we were introduced to before he came back.

Ric Flair told a story of around 1982 in DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, Flair allows himself to be pinned by Jack Veneno to avoid the riot from the audience, but the title is returned to Flair.

I read that story in his book and couldn't stop laughing. Jack Veneno is still the undefeated NWA World Champion since Flair never beat him in a rematch.

It's not about it being PG. Some of the best stuff they've ever done and has lasted for decades was done under similar guidelines. It's the shitty writing. Even if they decided to go harder, the writers would still suck and it would be horrible just the same.

Clip 1: Birth of Mulkey Mania

Speaking of funny stories, the Mulkeys were so hot after beating the Gladiators (hyped up like some big time team from California for weeks but it was just George South and some other guy) they got into the Crockett Cup tournament and got a US title shot at the Midnight Express in their hometown of Anderson, SC.
Cornette said in his book (can't recommend strong enough) that they were supposed to go in, sell a while and then win in a screwjob. But like Flair in the Dominican Republican, the crowd was so hot (over 2000 people in a 1500 seat rec center), with most of the town being related to the Mulkeys, they just sold for the Mulkeys until they blew up, Bobby pinned Bill, and they ran to the back, grabbed their bags, and ran to a car a ref had running outside. In the rearview mirror, Cornette said it looked like a shot from a Frankenstein movie with the villagers chasing after them.

Them were the good old days.

Cena was really the first guy they killed what was cool and interesting about him when they turned him face. They would repeat that with Morrison, MVP, Punk, and now it's Sheamus' turn.

Vince firmly believes heels don't sell merchandise, but my argument to that is the NWO t-shirt. Vince never releases merchandise for heels when they're hot, but he will when their popularity is completely gone as a face:confused: The only time he made shirts for heels was during the AE and Evolution.
