Official BREAKING BAD Season 4 Discussion Thread 10p SUNDAYS

Jesse is finally doing what I knew he could do all along. He's the man now and its good to see. Even he knows he's the man and he still didn't betray walt that's what's up.

Hank is just a victim of being good at his job and walt being bad at his. but oh well I don't care if hank dies

ted died the way he was as a fucking idiot. where was he running to? :confused::confused::confused::confused:
that big dolphin head dude didn't even run after him either.

Skylar doing shit under the guise of what's best for the family
and fucked EVERYONE OVER they can't even run
and walt is so stupid he was gonna get paid the rest of his shit then could just go on about his business

everything is breaking bad for everybody absolute chaos and I love it

when skylar picks up the phone and walt is in the background dying laughing
that shit
man that's just fucking classic

Moreso on the civilian, big headed know it all CAC side then the organized drug side which is what Ive been saying since Day1:lol::yes::cool:

It was also ironically good (& probably part of design) to see Walt come & try to disrupt Jesse's 'comfortable family structure' with his shit while getting repremanded for it as the tables get turned;

if Walt wasn't such a nervous dickhead, he'd be able to come humble to Jesse, apologize for all of his rashness & still have him in his corner as eyes, ears & a mouth IF he plays his New part.

The other dickhead in Skylar's life was running from himself & not getting anywhere nor gaining any ground; dude needs to get slapped up by some chick to wake his bitch ass up but he's 'awoke' now:hmm::lol:

Classic scene to me is when Walt came up in the lawyer's office carrying on, his goons jumped up & the lawyer said, "How'dYouKnow!?!":lol:

SO in retrospect Walt got Broken Bad, Broke Bad & NOW EVERYTHING for them is Breaking Bad

this show is so great because intentionally or not they expose white people and their arrogance and what it gets them.
walt thought it would be a piece of cake to just run in the underworld under the guise of stacking money for his family got drunk with fake power and is now all fucked up in the game. that white arrogance got his ass in trouble with jessee and now with gus too. its not play time.

skylar exposed her white arrogance when she found out about the drug thing and she tried to immediately make herself the so called first lady of the shit. coming up wiht stories of gambling addictions and getting car washes and shit when in reality she was the one who put the family in danger when she was cooking the books for the company. she looked down on walt when she was committing felolnies as well :lol: and then instead of coming to walt with the problem she thinks she's the mob queen and calling in hits on ted as well as setting up ted to get money and not thinking he was a white man and prone to fucking her over which he promptly did. and now cause she didn't handle it the right way and went behind walts back with his money theyre all fucked in the game. her look when she said she gave it to ted was priceless she knew at that point she fucked it all up
everything
fucked
he was saving money for a situation like this and here you come they spent all of it on a car wash and on ted :lol::lol::lol:

exactly jessee getting peace and shit and walt didn't like that shit at all.

thats that white shit again. he came at him foul after doing him foul and thought shit was supposed to be sweet. he shoulda said look i was wrong this is what gus is trying to do i ned your help... instead of please he said it like he had to which is why jessee said last time i came at you humble you wished me death cant do nothing for you.

the lawyer is the only white dude playing his role he's shook at every turn and knows he isn't tough he hires ppl to be tough and he's just trying to avoid going to jail i can't fault the lawyer he warns them before they do everything but he isn't there to tell them no he's there to adivse and collect money from their decision

EXACTLY but I don't have to watch it again as that shit is engrained in my memory.
THESE are the reasons I watch & :lol: @ this show

The only thing is that she aint "CallItIn" as she doesnt have the heart for it (remember her saying that she doesnt want him hurt? if not u will when u see it again)

I feel Gus ALWAYS knew this about Walt & has been trying in every posible way NOT to go there with this White Priveledged fuck who thinks he knows all about this here; he's even out of character having to get all riled up & spit that realness as he ONLY gets like that when there's a REAL threat like revenge or the cartel trying to son him; he doesnt lose his cool when in the civilized world.

U aint see him screaming nor carrying on in the plant, on the grounds or anywhere unless there;s direct harm & STILL he's cool as a fan.

:lol: @ him folding up his jacket & taking his time while the poision was ready to ravish his soul.

NOw I do understand some of the unfulfilled feelings of worth he suffers from knowing that he has what it takes to be an Alpha man in his particular field of choice after seeing the fleeting success of his partner & ex chick running off & making that cake but he let his ego, arrogance & ignorance put him way out of position;

Yeah, he was able to outsmart some high cornerboys & a few bigger fish in that little pond but once shit went conglormorized & major with the likes of Gus & SuperBig Business, he wasnt smart enough to rethink his place in the bigger picture;

Even if he stacked 10 mill in the house & was able to leave the game scott free it s STILL only a FRACTION of what a more advanced mind is dealing with. It STILL doesnt move him up the food chain, get him any acolades, props or ANYTHING other than the realization that you're just a spoke in a much bigger wheel, homeboy. Play your position or get replaced & THATS a major issue his control freak ass is having:lol:

& I dont think Walt doesnt like the peace Jesse made for himself.
He's just too much in a frantic state to see that it is peace as he's used to coming up in the place, expressing HIS concerns over high passed out bodies, chaos & derelict type shit;

he has no room for an opinion & thinks so little of Jesse, that that doesnt even come to mind - he just thinks Jesse will ALWAYS be inferior minded to him & that look of frantic paniac when everyone was @ peace playing & chilling in the crib should have made Walter realized which one doesnt fit in (which made that tazing even more hillarious to me as his dumb ass was suprised that it would happen :smh: Dumb ass CAC shit:lol:).

Once Walt openned his big assed mouth giving his lil opinions, I KNEW it was only a matter of time b4 all of this went down on his dumb ass.

The lawyer just wants to survive & thrive where he's @ like he said, fuck rattling any feathers; & he wants Wlat & his dumb bitch as far away from him as possible.

Those who accuse Gus of being gay, whats the true relevance in the big picture? That motherfucka can fuck animals, he's still the cornerstone & boss of that whole shit just like how that Med Team reacted - it wasnt personal but it was business.
To think anything otherwise, you're missing the point & taking it where u want to take it.

Again, Gus has Int'l resources. planes chartered, people playing their position. legit contacts, $ & game.
Do y'all think it would be really that hard to erase Wally, his bitch, seed, sone & existence without any major issues?

Y'all lucky he doesnt fly a fucking plane into their domicile while he's eating dinner or @ 4am but there's another season or two to be squeezed out so let's see how they design the ride:lol:

& like someone else stated earlier, she exposed her personal arrogance by the way she treats her man even b4 her White Arrogance ( with the handjob while on the laptop, the interventions & being mad @ being the 'bad guy' all the time yet never changing her approach to her husband nor son).

In terms of the laughing @ the end, I honestly thought Walt had another plan up his sleeve while talking to the lawyer but he didn't.

His ass used to impulsively count his trap $ but got gassed bringing in that $1/4M+ & thought shit was sweet sleeping on the same chick who has gonebehind his back more than once ( who was even clever enough to use that knowledge to help to sway his thinking when the car wash owner was talking slick about his domaneering wife doing his dirty work). He's a fool for not keeping track of it & not having a backup which made me :lol:

I'm a little confused on the money. How much did Walt bring Skylar that time in the Carwash when she started freaking out saying it's too much...it's too much. And he said this is what you wanted to do?

I know originally he had 3 mill. He had that in his sack.

Hold up I though WALT has boo koo dough( what happened to all that money?), that 600K that SKYLAR gave to dude should cause a small dent in their finances, not enough to make WALT go crazy

Two sets of medical bills, which I'm sure is well over $100,000
Car wash, which was $800,000
All of Saul's services

He has only been working for Gus a couple of months.

So how much has Walt had total?

It was a lot for a couple of months work, but he probably had less than 2 million. Medical bills, His son's medical bills and treatment, paying a mortgage on his house, renting a crib, buying the car wash, buying his son a Challenger, I could see him not having that much left after Skylar giving 600k to Ted. He had a couple of stacks, but it wasn't enough for dude to give all of them new identities.

He blew it fast. :smh: These last two episodes are going to be crazy.

remember that Walt had only been cooking for a couple of months. Spent 800k on a car wash. Buy two cars, a nice apt, that money could go fast.

My guess is now that the cartel is gone, Jesse kills Gus but who knows at this point. Writers could have this go a myriad of ways. The only thing i'm most willing to put money in is Hank being collateral damage.

Walt and Jesse have been cooking since Day 1. The first 3 seasons of the show (from 2008 - 2011 on AMC) are the duration of 1 year. His initial cancer diagnosis is that he has 2 years or less to live. They were doing the independent thing for the start of their meth run ... but things have gotten complicated over time in seasons 2 - 4 with Tuco, Gus, Mike, and others all being involved now ... not to mention the cartel.

I'm seriously thinking that Walt could kill Jesse...Aaron Paul is the fan favorite on the show though so that would be bad....but that would make Walt a true antagonist if he did that;

Maybe Walt does something to jesse's new girlfriend and son? I don't know but I'm counting the hours until the next episode:yes:

Not necessarily. Some actors do have two shows at the same time just as long as they don't film at the same time. Breaking Bad is one of those summer shows that allows for actors to do Fall shows as well.

The dude who played TUCO a couple of seasons back only had the opportunity for a short commitment with Breaking Bad as he had another show. He was supposed to be around longer ... and the role of resident bad ass has been GUS' the past few seasons. Heard this on the BREAKING GOOD podcast some weeks back. Dope how Giancarlo Esposito has become a central character in the series. Him / Cranston / Paul.

This show is OUTSTANDING!

Creative plots throughout each episode.

What is dope, is the fact, that Gustavo was the man in the film Fresh.

Thanks to ya'll fools on BGOL, our favorite place for shit talking and all else good with this earth I first started watching this on Netflix this past weekend... I'm about to watch season 4 ep 11, the most current one.

Thank you all for pumping this show up. As much as i cringe when I see walt, jesse or skylar about to do some dumb shit this show is funny sometimes and always DOPE AS FUCK. I've been on a fucking bender for this show. my daughter went to sleep at like midnight and I'm still up watching this last episode. My 2-3 hours of sleep will be worth it lmao

Gustav is that fucking dude... Walt def lets his pride and his need for notoriety get in his way way too much. I'm very surprised at how Jesse is stepping up but he's learning behind some beasts and I can see how his earlier traits are coming to benefit. Last episode was def one of the best. This show is the fucking shit..... Glad ya'll put me on... In the end though... I really have no clue who will be left standing other then probably Walt... with 2 more seasons though, I see all the remaining main characters other then Mike still there although I wouldn't mind Hanks annoying ass wife getting merked off...

Oh yeah, and like others have said... These motherfuckers are some absolutely great ass actors... great shit. These mfs have done the best crying on que and most emotion in faces I've seen in a long ass time. Just sick... Plus Walts char in that old show with the three sons to this??? these people are acting their fucking asses offfffffffffffffffffff...................

When they made a show about a fuckin fly entertaining.

I took the day off Monday to stay up late Sunday and dl/watch this shit...it's that damn serious! :lol:

Totally agree. That episode back about 3/4s the way through season 3 last year. Many people complained about it being too slow. Others (and the people involved with the show) explained they had to slow things down and gather themselves for a bit. Otherwise the show would have been balls-to-the-wall at all times and probably run its course and jumped the shark at some point. I love the way they cliffhung from June 2010 with Pinkman on Gale's doorstep ready to shoot him into July 2011's season 4 premiere with the shooting ... and the aftermath with Gus silently walking into the superlab ... putting his gear on, and boxcutting his dude Vic's throat in front of Mike, Walt, and Jesse. That shit was so cold-blooded and one of the best season premieres for any show in a long time. Goosebumps-worthy.

Exactly. My whole family watched Malcolm in the Middle 10 or so years back. Hell - even got my dad into that show and he bought season 1 on dvd. He's a huge fan of Breaking Bad and said - "That's how you know someone's a good actor. He goes from playing "Hal" on a sitcom and is basically the bumbling fool dad with plenty of hijinx and physical comedy to flat-out owning a dramatic series and winning BEST ACTOR IN A DRAMATIC LEAD(ING) ROLE Emmys for seasons 1, 2, and 3 (in 2008, 2009, 2010). And 2008 was simply a condensed season with the writers' strike back then. He won BEST ACTOR on 7 fucking episodes ... and other series had 13, 18, 22, and 24 episodes to work with for their lead talent! :eek:

Right on, fam'. Glad you're loving the series like many of us here. I have a feeling that shit can't end well for the majority of the people involved. They've already "broken bad" long ago. Gustavo / Mike / Jesse / Walt have ALL killed people, and put many others in harm's way. There's no turning back from that. They've crossed the line too many times. Also, Walt has that 2-year window with his battle with cancer. Some people are speculating that the poison that Walt gave to Jesse (inside the cigarette, and that he's supposedly to use on Gus when he has a chance) will eventually come into play. Either Jesse will kill Walt ... or EITHER Jesse or Walt will kill themselves and take the poison with a cup of coffee or swig of alcohol. Or ... Walt will take out his entire family (poisoning a meal) and become a true antagonist and live on in tv infamy in 2012 or 2013. Although ... something like that would be extremely dark. Especially for a show that runs at 7 and 8pm in primetime on Sunday nights.

Exactly. I earned a completely whole new respect for him on that shit. He was even a pretty different character on Drive. yeah I'm extemely impressed when any actor or actress can show such a believable range of emotions on their face on camera. there aren't many. When Will Smith did that movie where he was homeless with his son and was crying in the bathroom with his son on his lap that's when I knew that motherfucker was an actor for real. I love good acting. One of the best arts or abilities there are. But yeah, that's the difference with a dude like Nick Cage and Jim Carrey for example I guess... they both started out in one role always but one showed he could do other shit.

True. Will's a talented cat. I picked up on his acting chops back in the early-90s. Did a thread some years back about that episode wherein his dad shows up on the scene in Bel-Air and promises to take him on the road (truck driving) one summer and then bails last minute on him. That emotional scene where he breaks down in front of Uncle Phil and says he plans on being a better father than his ever was, and "How come he don't love me, man?" - that shit was heavy. Hell - Will's in his 40s and has been in the showbiz game some 25 years now counting his rap career and Fresh Prince roots. Impressive. Guys like Jim Carrey? Yeah - he's self-made. Came from very humble beginnings in Canada ... did stand-up ... battled Bipolar Effective Disorder ... got major notice on In Living Color ... branched off to huge success with The Mask and Ace Ventura - Pet Detective, and has done a variety of roles over the years both big and small. Cats like that are big box office ... scoring well over $20 + million per flick regularly once all is said and done.

  • Wikipedia - "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is an Emmy, BAFTA, and RTS-award winning popular American television sitcom that aired on NBC from September 10, 1990, to May 20, 1996. The show starred Will Smith in a fish-out-of-water scenario. He is a street-smart teenager from West Philadelphia who is sent to live with his wealthy relatives in a Bel-Air mansion. His lifestyle often clashes with that of his relatives there. 148 episodes were produced over six seasons."

BIGGIEKAT - "I remember watching this episode, it was crazy. 1:11 always got me and my brother.
To bring in someone like Lou Vereen to play Will's dad, he did a great job.
James Avery also stepped up his game. You could feel his emotions towards the situation. And that exchange between James and Lou from 7:20 to 8:33 is great!

And what can you say more about Will Smith? At 25, his career was taking off on this sitcom. You can feel his emotion. Talented guy."

why did gus kill this mexican dude and he knows the formula just like jessie does, jessie aint no expert like walter, if something changes like walter said he wont be able to adapt

(i know the mexican dude was seen at gales house) but still

jessie is just like that mexican dude ,he only knows by watching walter

when they went to mexico he didnt know how to mix chemicals from scratch

on another note

in the next preview episode

i saw jessie running from what looked like hectors hospital i think

maybe jessie gets hector to help him kill gus , if jessie decides to help walter
