True. More guys need to learn from Chris Lytle. He made the right choice in retiring and focusing on his family & firefighting gig (as well as trying his hand at a political run in his area). Walks off into the sunset off of a win (with win bonus), and 2 bonuses from his fight with Dan Hardy (and a Harley motorcycle as well). Believe he got Fight of the Night and Sub' as well for said bonuses. That's how you do it in your late-30s.

True. Rampage is in good shape coming in, but his game is boxing (with a wrestling background from way back). He needs to use intimidation and basically just walk forward and take it to Jones right away. Fuck the bullshit and NOT let Jones use his length and 84" reach and agility / mobility ... similar to how Anderson Silva gauges peoples' range ... figures them out ... and then proceeds to STYLE on them when he can. He can't let Jon do that w/ him. We haven't seen Jones taken down before, nor have we seen him in trouble. Should be interesting to see if Rampage bothers going for his legs. I'm thinking Rampage is hoping to trade with him and AVOID elbows and kicks/knees at ALL costs.

Here are my predictions thus far for UFC 135 and BELLATOR 51 which are both in progress, as well as DREAM 17 from the past 24 hours over in Japan (aired overnight on HDNet), as well as some of the other recent events. I'm hit and miss so far with UFC 135, but did well with Dream 17.

I have a love-hate relationship about the main event. I don't want to see one lose but it has to happen. I see Jon Jones winning by unanimous decision. Jones is like the new face of MMA. He is like a new breed type fighter. No other fighter is really like him from what I've witnessed. He is a complete fighter with all of the skills. Quinton may have a knockout possibility. I still don't know how good his chin is.
As for Koscheck and Hughes, I see Koscheck beating Hughes by TKO. Hughes is lame.

IMO dude is GSP, Silva type fighter...good overall fighter...'Page brings his confidence, solid chin, heavy hands good boxing good wrestling...

Very good points, Mega. Many of us on BGOL are fans of both cats. Rampage as he's a legend in the game dating back to the Pride days. Jones because he's one of the new breed / future superstars (already at age 23). He's got 10 - 11 years of youth on Rampage, and hasn't suffered any damage. Then again - we don't know how strong his chin is ... whereas Rampage is durable, has been tested (by both Pride and UFC cats alike), and has been the champ, has defended his strap in the past, and has gone longer distances. Jones has been doing his thing in recent years and STYLING on people with his height, range, power, reach & versatility and unorthodox offense.

Even though he's got a wrestling background from way back ... he doesn't have the explosiveness he did when he was younger and scoop-slamming people and ragdolling cats. Imagine Rampage with his current boxing power ... but mixed in with youth and a ground and pound game (or some JITS, any jits!!
) off his back ... or some Tito-like G & POUND in his prime. He'd be exciting to watch on top or off his back working cats.

Exactly.Rothwell was tired without the energy to block a punch and Hunt still didn't finish him.All he needed to do was throw a good hook or uppercut when Rothwell was against the cage with his head down instead of that stupid kick. I wish Rothwell could have gotten that submission in at the end just to make Hunt pay for bullshitting.

To me Page's biggest problem in this fight is that he likes to stand around patiently and throw punches and Jones' length will make that really hard to do successfully.

I think the Rashad that fought Tito even though Tito is over the hill would teach class against Jones. Trust me on this. Jones is just like Roy Jones..once he gets really touched he will never be the same. When his body fills out and he can not make LHW comfortably he will start to be brought back down to earth or be force to go to HW and get murdered. And that is a non biased opinion

He last fought in early-December 2010 against GSP. Georges messed up his orbital bone and worked him with the jab for 25 minutes clinic-style.
