I mean yeah it will happen eventually but I expect at least 5 -10 years of supes not being the clear Alpha/Omega character he always ends up being. It looks like they all ready depowered MM in stormwatch (which isn't a bad thing)

and who knows maybe editorial will decide to mandate Characters like Darkseid and Mongol should be stronger to make supes have to work to beat them. I doubt it but you never know.

I feel you on this man. Last week I was playing the old x-men arcade game the side scroller and every so often prof. X will appear and would be like "Magneto is at blah blah blah GO!! MY X-MEN!!". I mean he had complete control, he ran that shit. Then I open an X-men book and professor X is asking cyclops permission to do something with his head bowed and shit. I remember prof X saying something in one book and scott telling him to shut up:smh::smh:

He was retconned into an asshole so story line wise Cyclops is acting appropriately.

Cyclops accomplished all of the goals of the dream and he did it by doing thing that were OPPOSED to X and Mags way so they both got to eat crow...Too bad that's about to be retconned and they going back to the mansion and playing baseball on Saturdays.

When I read epic stories (story that take place over a long time period) I want to see PROGRESSION.

Professor X should have either retired or passed on. I think about what is the end game goal of 'living in peaceful co-existence with humans'?

Prof X should have reigned from 60s to 80s.
Magneto from 80's to 90s.
Cyclops from 90s to now.

X teaches X-Men. Goes through experiences of glory and failure. Picks the next successor. Moves out of the picture allows the successor to take center stage while he goes into an advisory position.

X should be an example to others. He should be out there living AMOUNG the humans. Maybe married with his love (Moira or Lilandra) and living that normal life that he preached so much about.

Can you imagine a young mutant in that mix coming up in there?

Young Mutant: So I am ready to do my part. I want to be about of this dream! Wait who's the leader?
Cyclops: I am and I'm glad you can join us. We are...
Young Mutant: Who is that old man walking about angry telling ppl what to do and stuff?
Cyclops: Oh that's Professor X. He's was our leader once and he's been doing this the longest.
Young Mutant: Still? I mean is that how it works we stay doing this into our elder years?
Cyclops: Well...why don't you talk to Rouge about your quarters?

*8 Hours Later*

Cyclops: Damn
Rogue: Yeah, we found him like this 10 minutes ago.
*She points to a dead young mutant hung by the rafters of his dorm room. Dead with his body swinging in the breeze. A note is on his chest says "Fuck THAT NOISE!"

Colossus copped that gem from Cyttorak to try and remove the Juggernaut power from the Juggernaut during that whole Fear Itself shit.

Magik wasn't dead..she was just in Hell and the New Mutants went there and brought her back.

X-Man wasn't dead, Norman Osborne tried to use him for his Dark X-Men team and since then, some evil scientist maufucka was siphoning his power for some shit and the New Mutants rescued him too.
