Official BREAKING BAD Season 4 Discussion Thread 10p SUNDAYS

Yep, great post; the twins shit was personal...Cartel wants business..maybe they want Walt to be their cook...all I know is next week is Gus's last episode...either the Cartel or Walt's idea, but Gus has sold his last 2 piece chicken meal:smh:

Gus won't be :itsawrap: til last season. I am calling you on that one,KP. :D Gus is the component that makes the show explosive. He aint dying this season.

You have to wonder if Jesse's ex girl is being brought into the equation for a send off.

the show gets better when they focus on gustavo and the cartel

walter is becoming a tired character

also just realized from watching over the story how Gale was made by Gus just like his man from Chile. This dude is playing chess on a whole other level.

Did Gus make Gale or was the scholarship story just something he told the cops? I thought he discovered Gale after got tired of dealing with Walter and Jesse.

Gus is an interesting character. He comes off as so servile and accommodating in his everyday interactions with people that you'd never suspect he was a ruthless drug lord. You'd probably think you could easily punk him. Giancarlo Esposito deserves props for his performance.

I am with you. I wouldn't cry if Walter died :smh: That man is putting his family through some serious bullshit. :smh: Not moving out of that shit town :smh: Spending all your time in a sterile lab with a surveillance cam as your only friend.

I would laugh if Gus hooked up with Skylar and started smashing her out of disrespect to Walt to show how intimate he can get to their family.  It's too Bad Breaking Bad doesn't give Michael K Williams (Omar) a role. I'd like to see him have a encounter with Walt.

Looks over to him at intersection at traffic stop with toothpick in his mouth
Walter smiles:
Omar: You think you are tough?
Walter: Excuse me
Omar: I'm watching you... I will be seeing you. You don't know me but I know you. And....... I don't smoke. *flicks toothpick into Walt's car* :drives off:

Another powerful episode. I love how they show the two sides of Walt. The Walt that Walter thinks he is and the real Walt. That whole speech about control, but the moment shit goes wrong Walt turns into straight bitch.

The only person he feels in control around is Jesse, but he's starting to lose control of Jesse too. You can see how Jesse is starting to think clearer than Walt

Do any of you still think Walt going to outsmart Gus after this episode???? The only part I'm not sure about is whether Gus knew he was going to have to provide an alibi that day or if he only realized it once he saw Hank inside the conference room. He was definitely feeling some pressure on that elevator ride down. And he definitely taking a risk in visiting Uncle Tio (even without the tracker)

No, Gale was definitely around. They showed in flashback earlier this season, that Gale was the one who put the lab together and was going to be Gus's cook, but Gale convinced him they should get Walter if they wanted the very best.

I think the scholarship story is true because a) They showed in the cartel flashback that Gus did basically the same thing with his original partner as he said he did with Gale and b) What other reason would he have for knowing Gale

Am I hallucinating or was there a scene from a previous episode where Gus mentioned his hearing wasn't good out of one ear? This show can disorient you like that

Thathe reason Gus didn't kill off walt or Jessie because there partnership reminds him of his with the guy that got killed.

Thathe reason Gus didn't kill off walt or Jessie because there partnership reminds him of his with the guy that got killed.

He didn't kill them off because they're the only ones who know how to make that good meth.

Basically.

He tried to kill them last year but Walt was expecting it and was able to get Jessie to kill Gale so that Gus couldn't kill him since it would leave him with nobody to cook and an inferior product as a result.

If Gus sees the opportunity best believe he'll off Walter immediately. I think this shit with Hank will make him want to do it even more.

Hank isn't going to be killed either. Gus wouldn't be stupid enough to hit Hank when Hank is on to him because that could potentially have people thinking he did it since Hank was on to him. I think Gus will figure a way to sabotage Hank or his career, instead of killing him turning him into a disgraced cop and therefore someone that won't be taken seriously.

I also have come to think that Walt will never be killed, either by cancer or because of his involvement in crime. I think instead Walt will be allowed to live and his comeuppance will instead be something happening to his son, wife, or daughter (or maybe all three) and Walt will have to live the rest of his (long) life dealing with the fact that he caused it.

he hasn't killed them because they make that good shit, he was about to kill walt right before Jesse shot the other guy in the face.

Yea I think you are right now after that last episode...That shit with Tio was off the chain! I still think Gus will be killed though...the Cartel wants Gus bad and Gus doesn't really have the muscle except Mike, Jesse, and the black guy) to deal with them...

What could end up happening is that the Cartel will approach Walt and Jesse and cut Gus out, which means Walt's blue meth will be in the SOuthwest and all over Middle and South America:eek:

You know when an episode is good when you have to watch it twice

Is gustavo Latino in real life

His Spanish was like a robot not very natural

Must be hard to recite a few pages of a language you dont speak

I always thought Giancarlo Esposito actually spoke Spanish. I know he played a Puerto Rican character in that movie "Fresh", and he spoke Spanish in that movie as well.

Also, I've personally noticed that certain South Americans, like those from Paraguay and Uruguay, tend to speak Spanish far differently from the Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, and Dominicans I've met. It sounds more clipped or fluid, like Italian or something.

Im fucking surprised you niggas aint peep the cameo of MANOLO from Scarface fame in that episode as the Mexican Cartel boss that Gus and his partner was trying to convince to sell meth. Shit brought a smile to my face seeing him get some acting work.

Absolutely. Watched with my pops and pointed him out immediately. Great episode. Loved the meeting Gus had with the DEA cats/police. "KEEP DIGGING ... YOU'LL FIND ME" and the "23rd ... I was at a fundraiser at the Presbyterian Church from 7 - 10pm ..." - CLASSIC TENSION!

Damn I need to really rewatch the ep...cuz I didn't peep that @ all...I'm embarrassed to say but I was a lil bit bored w/ the flashback so I wasn't paying full attention

Interesting...I remember someone was telling me that my basic knowledge of spanish that was helpful in the DR would not be as helpful in Colombia...I wonder why is that?

This passed episode was powerful on so many levels.

What I love the most that I will bring up.

Walt's ass was brought back to earth on this episode.

Since the second episode he has been on this get me in a room with Gus. Drove to Gus house put on that hat and walk towards his house. Walter has been believing his own hype.

Even more evidence in the beginning of the episode where he was talking to the other patient and telling how in control he was. How he seize the day.

Funny Walt has been talking big shit and when he finally gets a meeting with Gus. Dude was scared as shit.:lol:

"I I I I didn't do it."

Gus calmly tells him to do it.

We also see Gus in similar situation as Walter and Jesse.

Well in the past. Gus had a partner. Someone who he cared for.

We always seen Gus emotionless. Like a robot. Like he never loses his cool but that scene???

breakingbad_gusflashback.jpg

We saw Gus lose it.

Funny his partner begging for his friend life. How they need each other. Even though Gus isn't the chef and really isn't that important.

The Don didn't trust Gus and felt he was disrespectful.

Now what does that remind you of?????????????

great episode

when i did spanish in school the professor taught european spanish.

i'll assume the spanish will be different based on the region in central
and south america too.

Ok I'm caught up now

Im tired of Walt he's scatter brained and really he isn't shit but a cook. He thought he had become a drug dealer and a player in the game, but he's just a cook. When the shit hits the fan he's always flustered, and when the shit hits the fan is all that counts. He should have played it cool, put the shit on the car then explained it to Gus, the way he was questioning Hank Im surprised Hank didn't just outright ask him why he was caping for Gus?

Hank is built to be a police officer, can't front on him. Gave him time and he figured the shit out, he doesn't know that he figured it out but he damn sure did and now there's nothing that's gonna stop him from getting to the bottom of it.

Gus played them with the date calender pulling it out and having his life mapped out and tracked down to the hours, just flipped the page and then told them.. The DEA and them take his money and didn't want to believe that he was a criminal which is why they ignored all the shit Hank said, especially about the major hole in his story, about being with him, him getting killed, he thought a lot of him but didn't call his buddies, his partners the police officers to alert them he was there and to see how he could help?

Jessee is the man still, he's getting his vision together, he's thinking way clearer than Walt is right now. He's starting to see how flustered Walt is about everything, and Jessee is the opposite at this point. He killed the guy, he's on the missions with Mike, he's at the cartel meetings, not Walt.. Walt is coming to his house banging on the door and running in and around the building like a bitch.

I hope Walt's son works at the restaurant.

Seeing some of Gus' story was great, I hope they go into as much as possible with him and his beginnings. I did peep the scarface guy, but the most intriguing thing about the whole meeting was obviously him saying the only reason he was alive was because he knows who he is. What I want to know is who was he and what did he do? There is no record of him in Chile, and it looks to me like that's on purpose.. He started a new life and has something in his past that he got rid of.

Right now I think the show should basically fall back on Walt and his family that shit sucks. Just go with the cat and mouse of the cartel, Hank, Jessee, Mike and Gus. That's enough for an hour on the hour every week.

Every time Gus does something I just can't help myself I think "Esteban bust dope moves"

I think its hilarious how he goes to visit him at the home talks shit to him to make him all flustered, gets him all worked up and then leaves with a smile on his face, only to go do it again.

Funniest moment of the episode to me was when Gus was helping walt at the counter and walt's shaking and shit and Gus is like can I help you?????
Walt is flustered and saying I didn't do it I didn't do it and he leans over

DO IT
DO IT

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Walt is a bitch right now

The MANOLO cameo made the season ill with just that.

Quick question the guy that play Tucos uncle Hector is he the guy that Scarface shot in the dome for trying to kill woman & kids that worked for Sosa?

I think Saul gonna come thru in the clutch with some relatives of that dude that Gus killed with the box cutter. Just a guess. ;)

Anybody notice during atleast 2 of the movie promos during commercial break there were 2 movies that Bryan Cranston is in? Do you think he might kill himself off in order to try to get more time for movie work?
