Official BREAKING BAD Season 4 Discussion Thread 10p SUNDAYS

I could be wrong but I doubt 50 mill would be enough for pollo to buy his way out of any deals with the cartel, and the kartel already knows Walt and Jesse killed that drug lord guy which is why they sent those hitmen last season. Pollo is probably thinking Walter is worth way more alive than dead which is why he is sticking his neck out protecting his investment.
There might be more to it that has not been explained yet but 50 million is just not enough to buy off the cartel when they probably make more than that a year with their deal

Ok, but think on this. The two hitmen were able to find out about Walter White easily from talking with puco's Uncle Tio. Seems like to me they would be able to get to Walter again easily if they wanted too. Why go through the trouble of daylight hits on Chicken trucks when you could just pop Walter anytime he's out of the lab. Also I think that the two hitmen were on some personal shit cause they were Tuco's cousins and wanted revenge personally.

The Carterl is about biz. They want the product or more specifically the manufacturing process. At the moment only Walt can do it, but they can find another Gayle somewhere on the planet if need be

Yep, great post; the twins shit was personal...Cartel wants business..maybe they want Walt to be their cook...all I know is next week is Gus's last episode...either the Cartel or Walt's idea, but Gus has sold his last 2 piece chicken meal:smh:

I would really hate to see Gus go tho..without Gus n Mike there is no breaking bad

Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk

:hmm:

The show was great before them, with them, and it will be great without them...these writers are some talented motherfuckas

This is the worst season of breaking bad

I don't know maybe is because this is the first time im watching it live and not back to back right away

But these new episodes seem like fillers in a classic album

without gus and mike there's no conflict it then becomes a fairy tale ending like tangled or some shit like that...i really want walt dead tho..i mean the man gives u a chemistry heaven and all u do is fuck shit up and wanna kill the man paying you 7.5 mill a year...jessy aint shit but a meth head..will any of u here really put 7.5 mill and your life @ risk for a fucking meth head?

To Walt, its control...money isn't happiness for Walt; control is; he was willing to accept death 3 seasons ago, and now, he wants his name to be remembered and his force to be reckoned with; Its simple vanity...its been Walt's issue since the very first episode of the series....

As for the Jesse thing, Walt acts a surrogate father to Jesse...Walt wants praise from Jesse for being his guide, or mentor, or savior (he did save Jesse's life many times)...this goes back to Walt's vanity issue..He likes feeling good that he saved Jesse.

As for Gus and Mike, there will much, much more conflict once Gus is gone, guarantee that...all four seasons should have shown you that this show is totally unpredictable...only shows that have been totally unpredictable to me ever was The Wire, X-Files, The Shield, and Breaking Bad:cool:

what control?...the man can barely control his wife but now he wants to control a million dollar business? fuck outta here

Jess is a Junkie and deserves to die.. i think ur right tho that Gus might be gone after next sunday and i would really hate to see that..

I didn't say he does control, but he WANTS to control everything...his whole life, others have made decisions for him and he sat in the passenger seat. Now he has the key to the best illegal drug on the market now and he wants the power to control it...unfortunately, his vanity keeps fucking up his decision making...

As for Jesse, I didn't like him at first, but he really is the most complex, dynamic character on the show...he is much more than a junkie (last night's episode was amazing for Jesse)

But see, you thinking like a dude who doesn't value that fact that you MUST HAVE someone watching your back in a business like that PERIOD. Yeah Walt has 7 million but he wouldnt have shit without JESSE watching his back and his willingness to pop a cap when necessary, even if he is a fucked up junkie. His wife is also necessary to care for his SON and BABY DAUGHTER so in reality Walt has to play the hand he has been dealt. Can't have one without the other mane..

Just finish watching the last episode great show. I believe the Lt. that looks like Ted Turner has known all along that Gus is a big time drug dealer. I think he is going to inform Gus about Hank's new revelation. I mean think about it how do you do such an intricate business like that work along side the police in community service and no one in the department knows about your illegal dealings. If Gus dies its only going to happen near the end of the season. So far we only have 7 episodes on the table which means there should be at least six more coming.

Yea, the Lt. did have a look like "this muthafucka's getting too close."

I'm loving this season man...huge leap from the last season...show is becoming unpredictably good and I'm finally seeing real character dev/growth...Jess is becoming a scary ass dude man...starting to dig his character

I predict one of Hank's friends in the DEA will turn out to be a on the cartel payroll and shut that investigation down. Which sucks for Hank because other than being a wiseass, he really ain't a bad dude. In fact, outside of the son, he's the only character on the show who seems to stay within the letter of the law.

it will be his homeboy he shook hands wit....think aboot it how did he move up da ranks so quick....look at his facial in the meeting subtile but yes  i bet he ends up merking his homie.

I agree with this. Remember the conversation with the former carwash owner with the bushy eyebrows who told Walt, "Being boss is tough. You gotta be tough!". It kind of hinted at Walt becoming some kind of boss. and not just of the carwash.

I'd be disappointed if Walt becoming a Kingpin is the end result. it would be Extremely unbelievable (The show already stretches the imagination as is). Everything they have shown us this season indicates that there is a bigger picture than the level Gus and Walt are operating at. I'm talking the political level, multi-national level.

And nothing been shown to indicate that Walt can operate at that level. He's been more lucky than good.

To me the only happy ending possible is if Walt get's out of the game without getting caught or killed. For Jesse, it would be to get clean

Gilligan promised in interviews that the show will not have a happy ending, because there are consequences for poor decisions and karma

Walt may become boss but he will fall

Hank is good as DEAD he will be the next main body too drop,Gus knows why he was there and Walt will have to deal with the guilt.

There was a significant reason for why Gus asked and "how are your mom and dad" "if you need a job after school, we can always use good help". Gus knows now that he just met Walter Jr. and Mike has told Gus about Walt trying to body him, Walt now has to walk the plank!

Interesting. If this were The Wire, here's how I would predict the ending would go.

Walt - ends up losing everything including at least 1 kid (ends up working at the car wash)

Skylar - leaves Walt but gets busted for tax evasion and imitating a public official (Starts fucking Saul on the side to beat the charges)

Walt Jr/Baby - dies off something related to Walt, but it's made to appear to be accident

Hank - Busts the big drug ring and Gets the promotion he didn't want in the beginning. Starts having panic attacks again.

Marie - Get's some black dick from rehab dude and goes on a shoplifting spree across the American Southwest

Jessie - Ends up getting clean, survives the whole bust of the drug ring, but get taken down by Mike ("Sorry Kid") at the orders of the Cartel. Last words are "Get on with it, Bitch"

Mike - Survives the cartel war, but catches a bullet from Jesse which ends up killing him... slowly.

Jesse's boys - Stumble on the formula for Blue Magic and blow themselves up making their first batch.

Gus has no reason to believe they are on to him (yet). I do agree that Gus will use Walt Jr as another chip in the game against Walt. And Walt won't be able to do shit about it.

I think you are right and I will add this: We all know privately that Breaking Bad series will not end w/out Walt Dying. You can see it in the foreshadowing as Walt gets closer to the end. Part of me wants Walt to die because with all that money he could escape from that shit town. But he keeps his family weighed to this emotional anchor. I want GUS to blap him. Is it wrong that I am rooting for GUS? Maybe I have teacher issues.

Remember Gus had a hand in setting that other cartel nigga up too in his house...this could be payback for that as well...these cats don't need hard evidence against him...all they need is a hunch that he was involved

Interesting...yo what's y'all obsession w/ Hank's trainer smashing Marie :lol::lol::lol:

:eek::eek::eek::eek: That could be it!!!!!!

Never seen an episode before. Just curious if anyone seen this cam chick from Camfuze(http://www.camfuze.com/bunniefun). She taped an episode for season 4 earlier this year. I remember her saying she was jogging in the episode. Ill watch that one cause her cam shows were crazy.

Walt cant but his accountant wife can, in the final episode he will probably take the lawyer's offer up to dissapear and get a new name but I still think he will be a king pin for a short time

That was a powerful episode in so many ways:yes:

These last few episdoes of the season are gonna be tense as fuck...either Hank or Gus or Mike will not make it....

also just realized from watching over the story how Gale was made by Gus just like his man from Chile. This dude is playing chess on a whole other level.

I think Hank is out of here and Mike is out of here. Gus has moved to be a series star player. The tension will be missing if he's axed. Walt and Jesse are riding til the next season  Hank is running on borrowed time. Did you see Gus's reaction to Hank's Chile question

I think it's a good idea to split the season and keep it going for another 2 years. I hope AMC goes with that decision.

There is the wild card that no one has mentioned. The series could kill off Jesse and Walt's lawyer. That would save the killings for next season. Next Sunday here we come.
