I wouldn't include "The Sopranos" on this list.

The Sopranos didn't jump the shark, it just got stupid and it dragged on for a season too long.

Problem that people have with Sopranos is that the final season or two dragged out as far as when they aired. Also ... the way the finale CUT to black (as opposed to "faded to ..." in a hail of gunfire and shit). Gotta admit though ... that show was captivating and a shitload of BGOL'ers were following it throughout much of the 2000s.

Watched episode 3 at my pops' place. Enjoyed the way they are building things up ... as well know (with any good tv series) there's gotta be peaks/valleys wherein they build up storylines, as there's been some EXPLOSIVE MOMENTS OF VIOLENCE already between 2008 - 2011 with the show.

Interesting how Marie's doing the rounds now and sizing up open houses, with her kleptomania kicking back in. Obviously she isn't coping well with Hank's condition at home.

Cool how Hank's former coworker came by the house and asked him to take a look at the Lab Notes book recovered from Gale's apartment after the shooting.

I'm liking the angle with the car wash (which Walt worked at as a side job in season 1 back in 2008) and all the pent-up hostility left between him and the former boss there.

Cool how Skylar's been more involved of late. She's playing hardball herself. I liked how she grilled Walt at the house with the $320 bottle of champagne, and how EVEN by paying cash this shit was not a good look. Leaving any type of money trail - having your face get seen, etc. Any type of slip up could ruin "OUR STORY" ... fuckin' loved that line, as it shows she's more on board now. Is she gonna be a Ride or Die chick with her man who is already balls-deep in crime now, or is she gonna Dip Out in the near future, and what all will become of them eventually taking over the carwash for their purchase of $800k. Walt's line was gangsta when he said to her "$79,000? Do you know how much money I make in a day?" (in regards to her haggling the guy down from $879,000 to 800,000 when talking numbers).

Another underlying theme of this show is how these busy body, not knowing what to do with themselves Sisters aren't feeling or even being useful to what's left of their families within suburban New Mexico; overburdening, quick to panic birds who lack proper faith in their husbands, becoming more of a problem to the working dynamic of family than they realize or will ever.

The other feels like she has no control & back on her clepto shit. {self deluded entitled white Bitch talking about she wont press charges either)

They're ALWAYS playing for some type of positioning to fulfill their own inadequacies just to keep themselves busy or from not going totally insane;

as far as her cheating, I think she constantly lives with the fact that she was his 2nd choice as his lab homebody/one time biz partner wifed up the chick who was married to the dream of lab & corporate success & market domination.
That bitch will always use what she has to get what she wants & needs after the 'betrayal' of Walt doing what he feels he had to do.

So he can murk everyone & sells truckload metric tons of perfect meth to the whole coast & country but cannot remove the biggest thorn in his side, his wife without destroying his family.

Also the fact that Walt had formerly taught him, and basically sees him as a drugged-out fuck-up in recent years, and feels sorry for the guy in a sense. Also the fact that they've stuck their neck out there for one another on a few occasions. Walt running down those 2 dealers in season 3 with the Aztec and telling Jesse to run (Season 3 - Episode 12). Walt giving Jesse the order to go and kill Gale at his apartment (Season 3 - Episode 13) and the fact that they've made over a million bucks together illegally in their short run together ... also there's alot of guilt at play with Walt having hidden this for so long from Skylar before she found out, and brother-in-law Hank and his wife Marie STILL not knowing what he's really up to. The fact that Hank is currently paralyzed by way of the parking lot ambush (Season 3 - Episode 7) with the twins, and also the incident in season 3 wherein Hank beat the living shit out of Jesse when he showed up to his house looking for blood. Hank knows that Pinkman's involved, but doesn't fully know the ties to Walt (his own brother-in-law) which makes things even more fucked up given the Cat & Mouse game that was played back in 2010 during said 3rd season.

Indeed. He was already distraught at the end of season 3 when he was hiding out in the empty building. Walt's come dangerously close on a few occasions on ratting him out. Like when he lied to Mike at the end of the 3rd season saying "He's the problem ... he's always been the problem" and "I can take you right to him ..." (when he lied to the 2 guys to be able to use his cellphone to call Jesse and give him the heads-up to go and kill Gale, as they had him (Walt) trapped at the laundromat and he couldn't do it himself). Jesse was an emotional wreck when he knocked on Gale's door. He was crying and shaking when he put the gun to his face (for the season 3 cliffhanger from June 2010). Yes ... Marie's starting to lose it being essentially cooped up in the house with Hank ... seeing as he's immobile ... rude and mean given his state ... miserable ... and basically biding the time with his "rocks" (they're minerals !!!), and watching shit like porn, legislative discussion, and bowling. As Bryan Cranston noted in the Breaking Bad Insider Podcast ... it's basically eating Hank up right now being cooped up in bed with a bedpan nearby. For someone who's so alpha and regularly such a virile man ... he's basically a shell of his former 'self and that shit is killing him ...
