As a man I am the PROVIDER hence..... those are not the PRIMARY traits that I'm looking for in a female.

The Primary traits men of means look for in women are :
is she a NURTURER because that is a woman's #1 job. That means can she cook, clean, and take care of house.

for me I look to see is does she have NATURAL MATERNAL instincts. Since I do not have any children and would like to have some. I need to see if any woman I deal with would be a GOOD MOTHER. This goes back to the nurturer thing but takes it a step further.

Does she ACCEPT THE MAN AS HEAD OF THE HOUSEHOLD. This is a concept that a majority of single black women fail at. Too many sistas want to "run everything"... not your role. This is related to the Jesus Freaks too. Too many sistas view the PASTOR as head of their household instead of their MEN/HUSBANDS. Think about that for a moment.

In other cultures, you'll find women in every sub culture of that culture. For example, you got those crakkka gear heads with their shops. They wear their Dickies and have their tattoos and what not. They also have their women to go along with them.

These Asian kats have their sub cultures. Like Anime and what not. They also have chicks in that genre with the same interests.

If you really think about it, Black culture really has no sub cultures or genres. It's mainstream or bust. Most Black dudes I know who don't share in mainstream Black culture have "other" chicks on their arm, and for the most part because they had no choice.

I knew something was wrong or a shift was occurring in college. I knew 3 brothas in bands. On played guitar, one bass, the other sang. In any other culture, this means instant pussy. Sistas weren't giving these brothas no time of the day. I've been lucky/fortunate so far in meeting "counter culture" Black women, but they are becoming scarce.

Being open minded enough to try different experiences, tastes, sounds, paradigms, etc.... Willing to learn, and take constructive criticism. Realizing, that there is always room for improvement.

I'm going to emphasize that statement because we know most of these so called "Black men" TODAY are undisciplined. They chase pussy and they will do anything to conform to get pussy. They don't realize they are just hurting themselves long term, and they begin to get frustrated real quick because they are playing a role they really don't want to play to get some ass.

Most women conform because it takes an extremely strong person to be "different". Now we have the internet, it's easier to connect with others who share the same ideals. If you view things differently or have different perceptions than the "norm", you are often branded "weird" and/or "strange".

ETA: Group think is alive and well. It even exists on this forum. The first post after the OP establishes the tone of the thread. Most clown the person who comes in with a different opinion than the other posters in a thread.
