Natalie Dormer, who memorably played the seductive and doomed Anne Boleyn on Showtime’s The Tudors, has been added to the fantasy drama’s regular cast.
Dormer will play Margaery Tyrell, a (minor spoiler alert) beautiful and shrewd young woman from the influential House Tyrell. She’s pledged to marry the late King Robert’s brother, Renly Baratheon, as part of House Tyrell’s support for his bid to seize the Iron Throne from King Joffrey.
In addition to The Tudors (where, appropriately enough for joining the decapitation-filled Thrones, her character was beheaded) Dormer is also appearing in the upcoming Captain America.

That's an odd choice. Margary is supposed to be around Sansa's age in the books. I'm curious who they will cast to play her Grandmother. That's a very important figure in the later books.

I dont have cable or watch TV but I will say this I thought the Walking Dead was the best TV show until I saw of Game of Thrones
I didnt know about Game of Thrones until I saw this thread the day of the first episode and the episode was great,from there I started downloading the audio books and watch it every time someone upload the episode.
I read the comic for the Walking Dead and where they're at in the comic its stale and also I didnt like the last 2 episodes of the first season...I'm still going to watch it when it comes out in October but when you compare "Game of Thrones" and "The Walking Dead"....Game of Thrones comes out on top...It has a deeper storyline, a much better character development,plot is also better even the world is better.
Dont get me wrong "The Walking Dead" isnt your typical zombie story because its not but I feel "Game of Thrones" is much better.
It's not better than the Wire (yet) and I'd still put it a notch behind Breaking Bad. If you just compared first seasons, Thrones is winning but it has the distinct advantage of having a nearly complete storyline to work with.
All these other shows didn't even know they were going to make it past a first season. So I give more credit to the writers of those stories

like rap you can say so and so is the best of all time. Spartacus proved to be up there with their prequel doing such a good job. games of throne season 2/clash of kings got to bring the same element they did this season in order for it to be with the greats.
I downloaded the first season of the wire. But the same week, I started watching Thrones and got hooked. Man..Im like the only cat I know who hasnt watched The Wire....Im gonna start it back up to hold me over... I might pick up Spartacus too...
I was just fucking with Tical though...but it ranks up there at the top for 1st seasons... and even with the others that I rank up there, I think Thrones was the most complete in terms of production, writing, plot,acting, etc... I literally cant think of any subpar or even just decent area for this series...they nailed everything..even the damn kid actors were fucking dope..
but at the same time.. I havent seen some other great shows.. i actually got interested in spartacus because of Thrones because i read they were similar...
