Nobody shoots the fair one anymore. :smh: I’m my day you square til somebody drops and thats it. You couldn’t stomp or kick or Niggas jumped in. You could scoop and slam and ground and pound but not feet. Nigga had to put hands on your sister or some shit to allow a stomp down. Now these dudes ONLY shoot.

This is what pisses me off. Got me scared to be places. Not just that, I got cousins, my friends got kids. It's scary as fuck

I’m not scared to go any place I’ve normally gone. I don’t go to NEW places overrun with us. Around Atlanta, there are places we KNOW not to go, exits I don’t get off on. I used to seek out soul food when I first took the job here and I quickly realized many places aren’t gonna be safe for me. I don’t give off the CCW vibe but I definitely do.

I totally feel you. I moved out of Cleveland because I saw it just going down bad. At this point, I'm so far removed from where I used to hang out it's foreign. And in some areas I just keep my head on a swivel

Far too many of us adhere to the negative in order to be or feel accepted. that way. They don't have a fucking choice. But Theo Huxtable acting that way and bringing that mentality to the suburbs is the problem. He doesn't have to act like that, but he feels if he doesn't then he's not real or he's soft. And if he doesn't feel that way, people around him feel that way or he believes they do

Black people have a hard time just being and accepting the fact that no matter what you do, no matter how you act, no matter how you behave, no matter how properly you speak you are still black and your Blackness cannot be diminished by things I stated

I remember watching the pod around the time they separated from Tony the Closer and moved into the new building. Gillie was talking about his son. He said something about his son trying to chase his street legacy, but he didn't have to live like him. Gillie even told a story about having to make a few calls to get his son out of a situation in Camden, NJ. From what I remember, Gillie was trying to get him to leave the streets alone especially since he was in a position to provide opportunities. He even said the boy was being hard headed and would probably end up doing a bid.

How old are you? I'm late 40s and don't remember shit like that. It's been jumping and all types of punk shit. Shootings were how shit was settled in the 90s. Cats learned quick size and good hands don't mean shit. Got to keep it on the hip or stay in the house/out the way.

Hell, all the gangs that were popular when I came up started because folks weren't about fair play. It's just earth 101. Us males are brutal.

RIP to Gillie's son. Seen way too many go down by gun over BS. Shit is never easy, can only imagine if it is a child.

Sometimes you have to allow life to teach you lessons, however you have to survive them in order to apply the wisdom.
It’s fukd up that the only one here for likely feels they have been taught a something else is Ghillie.
This hurts me, folk…
