The thread was funny as hell to begin with. But the female members had to know that posting men on the main board (especially a shirtless man) would cause trouble. Some of the men on the board getting upset not because men were posted, but because White men were posted was stupid as well.

The hostility towards (some) women on this board comes from back in the day we had female attention-whoring borderline trolls. Oreo and ladygartersnake to Mouse Hitler (as an admin) and Montana to Esther and Lola. Women (just like male posters) who are cool don't get attacked (outside of the residual haters) and actually (IMO) get treated better because they have titties. When they get into discussions with the board, they will be called names and all that by some people just like males, but some take it to heart that it is gender related.

The hostility was then ramped up when HNIC decided to create SOL, catering to 100 members, all the while experiencing crippling database errors. And then his two other "sites", dudes were like "WTF?" And now you have a lot of hostile female posters (Lola, Bi, Esther, etc) and not enough normal and rational ACTIVE female posters to balance that out. For every Montana there was a Renatta, for every Oreo there was a MissLeadLuv.

As for your thread comment, BGOL is probably the worst place to have that sort of thing because of the prevailing "Ock" culture. On those other boards (at last the ones I've been a part of), everyone pretty much posts their pics all the time. SOL had a couple threads similar to that but they pretty much died because a) ran out of active contributors, b) some criticism of pictures and c) the Quaid scandal.

Man, someone could write a paper on gender relations and interactions on a predominantly African-American male porn board.

Yeah, a lot of BS has messed up the interaction between the men and women on this site. It would be nice if the brothas and sistas here (and in the real world) could just hang out and vibe on all kinds of topics, scenarios, etc. I think there is room for all of us to speak our piece, but for some reason that isn't the case. There should be more female participation on BGOL/SOL, but there isn't. We as a people are very diverse, so having more balance around these parts would be the shit. Whatever the case, BGOL/SOL eaves and flows like things do in reality. I guess you have to roll with the punches sometimes...
