Those words come from the books and teachings of Elijah Muhammad. True Elijah Muhammad credits Master Fard Muhammad as the source of his information. This is at the essence and foundation of what the NOI has taught for 70 years.
I called this some white BS interpretation.
Fact. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad did not teach anyone to hate whites. He taught us to do for ourselves and to respect and appreciate our black selves. He taught that white supremacy is evil and it is a general practice of whites thru out the world.
Fact. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught Malcolm X that there are living breathing- walking and talking white folks that have accepted Islam. And that they are faithful muslims. He taught that these white muslims will join the faithful black muslims in the hereafter.
Furthermore, Elijah Muhammad taught that his Islam and mission was specially crafted for the lost and miseducated black folks of the new world. Hate was never within or behind Elijah's message.
Before Malcolm went to the east, Elijah had already sent his own flesh and blood son there to study arabic and traditional Islam. Elijah also designated that this traditionally trained son to be his successor.
Elijah own son, Warith Deen taught that Elijah instructed him to take the NOI into traditional Islam.

Shabazz is a Muslim surname in that part of the world, and much of the ideology taught by Fard and the NOI is a re-hash of Ahmadiyya Islamic teachings from South Asia mixed with Jehovah's Witness and Masonic theology. Elijah "Poole" was raised a Jehovah's Witness. Essentially, Fard projected his own ancestral identity onto African-Americans.

I don't care to debate the ethnic or racial identity of Fard Muhammad. Elijah Muhammad taught the NOI that Fard was the son of a black man and a white woman.
I only addressed the fact that Elijah Muhammad taught that Fard's mother was white to illustrate that Elijah Muhammad didn't hate white based on the fact that Mr. Muhammad taught that his source of knowledge and inspiration was the product of a white woman's womb.
Elijah Muhammad taught the NOI that his own father was a baptist preacher, not a Jehovah's witness.I have no reason to doubt his words. Why? Do you actually think there were kingdom halls in rural Georgia for black sharecroppers between the years 1907-1923? Come on, bruh.
It is true the Master Fard Muhammad would have his students listen to the teachings of the Jehovah Witnesses and he would decipher their message and use the JW's message as a teaching tool. But Elijah was a grown ass man (1930 onward) and this had nothing to do with his parents back in Georgia.
Lastly, type the word Shabazz in the google or yahoo search engine and tell me how many none african american references show up. zero. Type any other surname that you believe is associated with Indians or Pakistanis and watch and see that there are actual results.
None of this really matters because Malcolm X was a student, follower and product of Elijah Muhammad until the day he died as El Hajj Malik Shabazz.

Hell, his oldest daughter was only about 5 or 6 years old in Feb '65. Are you trying to tell us that you encompassed all the knowledge or views that your parents held at that age?
If you want Malcolm's views at the time of his death, a better opinion would come from someone like Manning Marable (the chief Malcolm X expert, who has filed damn near all the FOIA requests from the FBI, other than Uncle Sam), Peter Bailey (OAAU), Abdullah Abdur-Raazaq (OAAU & Muslim Mosque, Inc.), or Max Stanford (RAM - Revolutionary Action Movement). (the latter three would be best, since they spent more time with Malcolm than his own wife, Dr. Betty Shabazz)

Said it before but I think that he would have been clever enough to know that Zawahiri probably didn't even say those things about Obama seems to me like a feeble attempt to turn black people away from Islam. We are scared now especially as our president to be, has a Muslim name what if he became Muslim? What can we do to prevent this? Associate Malcolm x with a terrorists, increase the perceived threat. Not so (at least with respect to the motive for starting this thread). This thread was started solely in response to Ahman Al Zawahiri's characterizations of Malcolm and Barack Obama. Of course, the opinions on the subject have varied and many posters have attempted to add historical perspective in answering the question. Some of that historical perspective might be inaccurate and subject to debate and some of it may or may not be in agreement with the teachings, tenets, doctrines, opinions, etc., of the Nation of Islam. Nevertheless, neither the Nation, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, atheism, pimping or any other idea, teaching, rule, thought or practice is or should be immune to question.

Obama is a ego. So is Clinton and Bush II to a certain extent. When a ego is unleashed there's no telling where it will end. We've seen it with too many world leaders. When I referred to Obama as a potential "House Negro" on the political board almost a week before Al Zawahiri released his statement I was worried about people following Obama's words and forgetting what this system does to unchecked egos especially Black ones.
