Your stance on slurs for those other than blacks?

A lot of cats on this board are very anti of the use of "nigg**/nigga" by the use of any other group, save for those of us that are black. Some of us don't like the use of the word at all, but that has been discussed to death and that isn't what I'm asking here.

What is your stance on racial, ethnic, and other slurs for groups other than us black people? I think everyone here could agree that they would get pissed off if you heard a group of white guys talking about "nigg**s", yet many of us do the same to some other group of people.

spi*, chink, jap, sand nigg**,wet back, faggot, cracka, etc.

I personally don't use any slurs, but I'm curious about those of you who do. This isn't me attacking, I'm honestly just curious.

For those of you that use derogatory terms for other groups, what is your rationalization?

**I know homosexuality is pretty much frowned upon here, and I'm also not asking if you except that or not (been done to death too). Just why the use of the slur in that instance. Is it not possible to not except a certain type of lifestyle without the slur?

I will continue to say cracka in reference to honkies becuase I hate them. No other group of people other than A-Rabs have enslaved my people so I do not degrade other groups. Only crackas and rag headed goat milk drinking jihadists. Fuck em all.

What about "faggot" though? Even if you don't agree with that lifestyle, why use the term?
 
I hate racial slurs. But I can't lie if you piss me off you may catch one. I do not use the terms casually...not trying to say any use is right. But cats today think that its hip and makes them tough to use them... some are just plain racist. What can yo do?

I look at it this way, you can say what you want around me, if I don't like it, I'll smack a tooth out your fuckin' mouth and keep it movin', if you don't have the balls are or incapable of doin' the same to me, that's YOUR fault, not mine. I don't generally just drop racial bombs on folks, but I'll crack the occasional joke or call a white person a cracka on occasion among friends.

It's about CIVILITY and DECENCY, not about that phony right-wing strawman of "political correctness" (the opposition to which provides the ignorant haters just another lame excuse for their bigotry).

Blunt, they had the right to say what they wanted. Just be prepared to face the consequences of your actions/words. What is civil and decent to you may differ from what I feel is civil and decent. I refuse to become feminized, and try to cater to each and every persons feelings. I hate being around people that do try to please everybody, because they are always walking on eggshells and I won't live my life that way.

homosexuality is a choice, It boils my top when faggots compare thier very fixable problems to the African-American struggle. A faggot can straighten up (or atleast keep they shit behind closed doors) and the hate just might stop. out of all those slurs you listed the "N" word's the worst because it represents more than just a meaning. It represents the rape and torture of my people, while the other's are just words meant to anger whomever it's directed at.

I definitely agree with you that people have the right to say what they want, free speech and all, it's just they don't have the right to say what they want and not expect to have any consequences of what they say.

That being said, I don't think it's becoming feminized to not refer to people from Mexico as wet backs or what have you.

I dont use it that often, but after realizing that I dont use any of the others, it probably means i should cut it out completely.
 
I like being the "Devils Advocate" around whites, if the refer to mexicans in a derogarotary term I call them on it. if they be on some some "Jew" shit I call them on it. but when they tell "Pollock" jokes, Blond jokes, Redneck jokes, I laugh cause in reality they are talking about themselves. I asked because he used the slur in another thread I was reading and he didn't address that slur in his post in this thread. Like I said in my OP I'm curious about the use of slurs (all terms that can be considered slurs) by us black males. I thought I was pretty clear. If you want to read more into than that...knock yourself out.

I disagree with "their very fixable problems to the African-American struggle". Who said being attracted to another woman was "fixable"? It's up for debate as to how sexuality is determined. As far as acting on attraction, of course, you and I both know that one doesn't have to every time. Still, it's pretty fucked up when you've got others trying to decide (in 2007, no less) who can be attracted to whom.

However, who are you to deny the next man or woman their sexual partner of choice? You'd think "African-Americans", with all their parents and grandparents have been through (AND with what they continue to go through), would forget how to discriminate against others that have faced unfair discrimination and blatant hatred.

People want to talk all the jazz about "oh they don't have it as bad as us." Try spreading a rumor that you're gay and let it circulate for a month. I guarantee you'll lose a lot of friends, family members, and quite possibly even your job. I'm not gay and while I'm not saying you should be, I am saying that before you start speaking out of both sides of your mouth, perhaps you should consider what you're saying. Discriminationg is wrong, period. Why the hell would you want to endorse any type of it?
