The UH police use to brag that they were more powerful than HPD because they were state employees, with a higher jurisdiction.
A few weeks ago everyone was big upping this white dude who was belligerent with the cops AND didn't roll down his window. Black cop... white man..
Cop just chucked the ticket shit in the window... whit dude signed it, gave it to cop.
People were lauding the dude... "gotta keep them pigs in check" i remember was said.

in this case she acted like she didn't understand anything he was saying.
Had she just rolled the window down..it was down before...and signed the ticket everything would have been everything.. cops can pull people over for small shit..MOST of the time if you comply with the procedure its nothing.. the ticket can always be fought later.

this... I've learned you're not going to talk your way out of a ticket in most cases. Odds are better trying to get it dismissed in court.

I can understand not opening the glove compartment - ma mightve been packin or something. But why roll the window down the first time, then not the second? If she was consistent...
it was ALL THE WAY DOWN when he first approached the car and spoke to her... all he did was run her plate and walk back with the citation for her to sign.. that shits happened to me..happened to you and happens ALL THE FUCKING TIME. I didn't get arrested and YOUR DUMBASS never got arrested...she was being obstinate and bitchy.

FIRST off, peeps on the board (and everywhere else) need to realize that signing a ticket IS NOT an admission of guilt, it is ONLY a statement saying that you agree to appear in court!
The officer in question WAS NOT just handing her a ticket, he was handing her the ticket, possibly his ticket book + a clipboard for her to sign the ticket on, which warranted him being able to safely put his hands into the window area, and be able to pull them back out, IF he put his hands inside the window area and she then decided to put the window up and take off, then EVERYBODY would be laughing saying "Dumb cop!" and words to that effect!
Keep in mind that the other video posted of a guy keeping his window up WAS NOT a traffic stop, it was a random checkpoint, meaning the driver had done NOTHING WRONG to warrant being pulled over, whereas this woman had a blown taillight, and made an unsafe lane change, which, as the officer pointed out, was probably due to the taillight issue, it was a simple equipment ticket which, in most jurisdictions, is thrown out upon showing that you had the infraction repaired in a timely manner, her NOT rolling her window down made her into a person acting with suspicious behavior.

And as stated above, campus police have REAL police powers within the area of the campus, they ARE NOT the equivalent of mall cops & the like, try not answering a simple traffic infringement from the campus police and see how fast your license will be suspended!
Bottom line, once the woman DID NOT HAVE her vehicle registration to show the officer, SHE WAS IN THE WRONG!!!
That officer HAD NO ATTITUDE with her when he first pulled her over, I have NO IDEA what peeps are talking about, his attitude appeared as she REFUSED to lower the window, AFTER he repeatedly told her to do so, this woman could've been on her merry way if she simply complied!
Peeps make a BIG mistake out on the road, simply stated you DO need to know your rights, but just keep in mind that in an outside, one-on-one situation, THE COP IS ALWAYS RIGHT, even if he is wrong, YOUR TIME comes in front of a judge, where you can refute and possibly beat the ticket.
Real talk, exactly just how does ANYONE believe that belligerence will get you OUT of a ticket, instead of getting you several more, like it almost ALWAYS does!!!

ONCE she opened her window ALL THE WAY DOWN the first time, she put herself in a weak position, NO DIFFERENT than trying to invoke your Fifth Amendment rights AFTER incriminating yourself, once you open the jar it is open, PERIOD!
And IF the officer was ONLY handing her a ticket, peeps on the board would be correct about her not rolling the window down, but since he wanted her to sign the ticket, her window HAS TO BE all the way down for the situation to be considered SAFE for the officer concerned, the fact that after being stopped she started NOT COMPLYING with the officer makes her look as though she was trying to hide something, ESPECIALLY considering the fact that she WAS NOT trying to look into the glove compartment within view of the officer, which was her right, of course!

My response was to MelonPecan, what I say was illegal was him reaching to grab her window and break it, with what right did he have to do that. That was excessive. He got aggressive with her for what? He felt intimidated by her?
I have been stopped numerous times, many states, I crack my fucking window so they can hear me, period. Been pulled over, checkpoints all kinds of shit. Once a cop asked me to step out cause it was noisy on the highway, and I did. I don't make small situations into big ones, but if they ask me to go thru my truck, I ask them if I am being detained or am I free to go.
In NYC they have had flashlights looking at bags in my trunk asked me what it was, said it was my personal belongings, am I free to go? They said can we search it, I laughed and said you know you can't without a warrant, and I stay pleasant. They let me go.
Know your laws and be pleasant with them. They look at all civilians as scum, not of their brotherhood. The majority of them. Not all...

true on all of this..but for the red..the cop DIDN'T make an issue of that..when she failed to produce registration he just ran her plates..he never inquired further about any more searches or anything..She could have had a brink of coke in her glove compartment and all she had to do to drive away was roll her window down and sign a fucking citation bill and left..
I'd like to hear how they would have handled the situation differently without all the fags and crakka and cussing you can't take someone serious when all they do to prove a point is throw insults.
