Atlanta’s longest-running Hip-Hop show representing quality hip hop music – The Beatz & Lyrics Show with Jayforce , is back with a new A3C Festival Mixtape. This year’s mission was to record the mixtape on site at the festival. With help from Unique Squared, one of the leaders in pro audio gear, the team brought out an RV stocked with all of the best gear from AVID/DigiDesign (creators of Protools), Native Instruments, Focusrite, JBL, M Audio, Mackie and custom sound treatment from Auralex to create a professional recording studio that could travel to the Festival. Once the RV was assembled (Assembling the RV) ,recording started at 4 a.m. October 7th with Dungeon Family group The 5ive and did not stop until Sunday morning, as the Festival ended.
This year’s mixtape features contributions from over 70 different artists and producers. Artists like Camp Lo, Artifacts, J-Live, Aleon Craft, and Sha Stimuli recorded tracks and other notables such as 9th Wonder, DJ Toomp, and DJ Evil Dee checked in (A3C Wrap-up). Production team The Dynamite Brothers (J Haze and Amond Jackson) put the mix tape together and DJ Precyse provided all of the cuts.
