Man I been knowing dude for years, worked together, played on same football team for years but I can't even look at him the same anymore. Long story short, he chasing football dreams and played overseas and even Brazil. He comes back home and his WIFE has moved in her kids father in the house. Come to find out this shit been going on and not only is he cool with it, but it ain't like they got one of bgol bullet marriages, she just don't respect him. Told my boy to his face in front the whole team"of you want him out the house, beat his ass and kick him out"

Another one, my brother in law. He can't talk on the phone without his wife. Literally. EVERYTIME he calls or I call him, she's on the phone like it's a conference call. You ask him a question and she answers before he does. Send him a text and she responds. Wtf. It ain't like he cheated, she just got his balls in her purse. I had to honestly stop talking to him because I can't stand her

Second is my wife's brother, so I got into this.

The fact that she chose to embarrass him like that in front everybody is what got me.
 
I gotta situation kinda like that, my closest childhood friend hits me one day when I’m home from traveling for work and lays on me that he knows his chic is cheating, he put a GPS on her car and the dude lives near me. So I strap up like commando and ask him for the app so I could follow them. I get pics of his chics car at dudes fuck hut and pics of her giving him shit like clothes and food. This goes on for a week.
I forward the pics to homie and he’s appreciative, he divorces the chic and he moves on with life. 4 years later we’ve only spoken once and not in person.
This mufucka likely can’t look me in the eye anymore and I don’t have a judgmental bone in my body. So fuck it.

One of my brothers and a cousin of mines are sucka's when it comes to their wives and without being confrontational I've hinted at and ignored them bitches as best as I could possibly and they know this.But for some reason they wanted control over them and the household which is fine with me but I refuse to talk,answer or acknowlegde them bitches at all by not having anything to do with em,at family functions,holidays,birthdays nothing.My father got so pissed at my brothers wife that he told her "I don't talk to creole bitches"after asking my brother a question and she answered

Hooked up with her and got her pregnant ... ditched her when health complications arose (told her long term marriage plans). She was embarassed and hid it from her family and friends. Got an abortion out of town and fell into depression and was suicidal at one point. When she told me the details it was no longer cool with me and him. Had zero respect for that clown and made sure she reached out for medical and mental health support moving forward.

I don't judge my friends based on their wives that's his business unless he wants my advice. But I ain't judging them based on that unless he's doing some repugnant shit. I have plenty of friends with chicks I wouldn't choose but if they are happy I don't care a bit.

But at the same time I cut off a dude I knew since the second grade because he stole 200 dollars from me. He paid it back like a year and a half later but I still don't talk to him. I'll cut you off for being a snake way faster than I will cut you off for being a sucka in your love life. I have known plenty of stand up dudes who liked a certain type of woman be it a hoe, fat chick, loudmouth chick. I've seen it all. And I try not to judge because honestly it's none of my business what another nigga fucking. lol

Based on what you wrote here I really don't blame him.

Will you have a wife with serious long-term health issues you become more of a caretaker than a husband. You wake up every morning and see the person you love die and deteriorate right in front of you.

If she has the baby he essentially becomes a single dad with two dependents. Forget about a career or any job that can come close to paying the bills. You're stuck trading salary for flexibility just in case something serious goes down.

Then he would have to deal with the mental toll that this experience is going to have on her. When a person becomes incapacitated it's such a young age they're usually mad at god and mad at the world. Guess who that anger gets focused on?

If that's not bad enough now he has to deal with the angry in-laws blaming him for everything that goes wrong. He would give up his entire life to take care of someone they love, but it will never be good enough no matter what.

Then he has to deal with the toll and trauma that come along with losing a spouse way too young.

Why would anybody sign up for this?

I'm going to guess that he told a close friend or relative about these wedding plans and they hit him with this reality. Afterwards he wisely decided to back away.

If anything I respect him more for knowing how to dodge a bullet. Pun very well intended
 
My friend Bobby (not his real name) was a roommate of mine recovering from an ugly divorce. At the time he was working as a housekeeper for a wealthy white family that paid him less than minimum wage.

After we all had to move out he wanted opportunities for better work. I helped him get a spot in San Francisco, rewrote his resume, and even took his online test for him so that he could become a licensed caretaker. Everything was set. All he had to do was show up for a final interview.

I called them up on the day of the interview to see how things went. Turns out he never made it because he overslept! Asked me if I would retake the test for him.

I refused and his whole life spiraled out of control from that point onward.

Another friend named Ray (again, not his real name) wasn't really a close friend, but an insanely skilled drummer that I respected as a colleague.

He used the tour with the likes of Taj mahal and Rufus Wainwright back in the day, but a serious cocaine addiction left him as a street performer. Despite this, we did a few gigs together and everything was positive.

Then one day I get a text from him at 3:00 a.m. it read "yeah, I took your bitch phone. She's lucky I didn't take her life." Obviously it was meant for someone else, but it made me wonder what the hell else he was into.

Ray is still my brother and I love him. But since that text I got to love him from a distance.
 
I learned in my younger years, the quickest way to lose a friend or things to go awkward is to meddle or give your opinion on him (your friend) and his woman.

Many years ago, dude I worked with, we were tight, so, his girl at the time and mine, used to hang out. She tried to hook up my girl with a "side dude", a friend of "her side dude". My girl told me and said don't tell my friend. I promised I wouldn't. But one night smoked trees with him, thinking we cool, told him.

Said don't tell her, just watch situations. Well he did. He later flipped on me, said me and my girl were trying to break them up. To this day stopped talking to me.

But I learned never let a chick, mess with my friendship with someone, so I don't comment on it to them. To each his own. He gotta lay in that bed he made, but lost madd respect for that.

They still together today I last heard, but she believe in having her cake and eating it too. She believes in having multiple dudes for multiple reasons.

I stay out of people biz and just keep the relationship with a friend just at that, reserve my opinions to myself. Quickest way to kill a friendship. Giving comment about something you see wrong in their relationshit. You will lose every time. In the end.
