Used to catch the bus after getting off the train going to Fordham Hospital. This street stayed busy and full of fat ass in the summer. I miss BX and Uptown

The driver of a lime green luxury car driver caught on camera in the Bronx injuring 11 people as he slammed into idling cars and sped down a Bronx sidewalk while fleeing cops has been arrested, officials said Friday.
Francisco Padilla, 29, was slapped in cuffs late Thursday for the crazed, slow-moving pursuit through bumper-to-bumper traffic along East Fordham Road in Fordham Manor, cops said.

Officers had tried to pull over his green machine, believed to be Mercedes Benz GLC Coup, near Marion Ave. about 5 p.m. Wednesday for having excessive window tint.
But Padilla refused to pull over, sparking the pursuit.


Video posted by el_goldo718 shows the green auto moving back and forth, smashing into idling cars. Cops jump out of their cars with guns drawn ordering the motorist to surrender.

“Yo they wildin’ out here!” a man off camera screams.

A cop bangs on the driver’s side window, but Padilla ignores him as he punches a hole through the traffic. A moment later, he vaulted the curb and speeds down a sidewalk, knocking over two vendor carts as he makes his escape.

“This n----- is climbing on the f----- sidewalk,” the man recording the video said. “Are you f----- kidding me?”

An unmarked NYPD cruiser appears to pursue Padilla down the street before both vehicles disappear.
Padilla hit seven cars before fleeing the scene, officials said. Eleven people, all passengers in those cars, suffered minor injuries and were treated at area hospitals.

His green car was later found abandoned at Hughes and Crescent Aves., about a dozen blocks away from the demolition derby.
Cops charged Padilla with 11 counts of reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident. He was also charged with obstructing government administration, fleeing an officer, reckless driving and making an illegal U-turn.

His arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court was pending Friday.

Situations like that are no wins for cops but I think they would've been more than justified to shoot at him directly to take him down before he got a chance to hurt other people. The cop who ran up on the driver's side window probably had the best chance to take him down with minimal risk to innocent bystanders. If he fired through the glass when he was right there, he might have been able to take him down. Aiming anywhere else from a further distance would just increase the risk to bystanders

Jews owned most of the building in that area and especially the Grand Course. I saw the neighborhoods go from white to Black to "Spanish" in less than a life time. Jews would sooner rent to a family of "Spanish" on section 8 than working class Black people. Working class black folks got overlooked for forefingers who identify with the ethnicity of invaders. Now that area is flooded with Hispanics from various countries and Muslims from various countries.
