What's a good weapon for home defense of a condo? I'm a little worried about rounds going through into the hallway or to the condo across the hall if I get something too powerful. Is a shotgun okay?
 
Shotgun with 00 buck, or a pistol with hollow points would probably be the best compromise between stopping power and over penetration. to be clear, both will still go through walls, just not as many as a full metal jacket, slug, or typical AR round.

if you really want to keep it in your apartment, maybe bird shot would work but it may not stop someone intent on killing you.

Took my HQL class on my birthday. Should be getting my license in the next week or two. Bought a Keltec Sub Compact 2000 9mm. Looking for a shotgun and pistol next.
