Good documentary, watched it last month. Remember it was either BET Rap City or MTV Yo MTV Raps who would ever thought them two companies decades later be under the same umbrella. Back when syndication had Pump it up and Soul Train then later came the Box when you can phone in videos. Good times back then

SAME! I think its knowing the fact that we were apart of, and grew up in a cultural movement... OUR (black & latino) movement known as HIP HOP. We spoke a language, dressed a certain way, and expressed ourselves physically, visually/artistically, verbally, and musically, in a way that no one understood, but wanted to be apart of. And look, it is a GLOBAL culture WITH OUT FORCING IT ONTO OTHER CULTURES...

CACs tried to stop it, but they couldn't stop it.

Seeing how much of a fun time we had back then... damn...
