Yo! MTV Raps Documentary

Good documentary, watched it last month. Remember it was either BET Rap City or MTV Yo MTV Raps who would ever thought them two companies decades later be under the same umbrella. Back when syndication had Pump it up and Soul Train then later came the Box when you can phone in videos. Good times back then

Yo! Good looking on this my dude! That was a great documentary...it really brought back some great memories! I really miss that time in Hip Hop, the GOLDEN ERA!

Yo! was my shit!

No matter what, I couldn't start my Saturdays without checkin it out...prolly still got some on vhs..:smh::lol:

i watched this with a smile on face the whole time..lol

watching now & i can't stop smiling.

Lol, me neither!:)

:yes: SAME! I think its knowing the fact that we were apart of, and grew up in a cultural movement... OUR (black & latino) movement known as HIP HOP. We spoke a language, dressed a certain way, and expressed ourselves physically, visually/artistically, verbally, and musically, in a way that no one understood, but wanted to be apart of. And look, it is a GLOBAL culture WITH OUT FORCING IT ONTO OTHER CULTURES...

CACs tried to stop it, but they couldn't stop it.

Seeing how much of a fun time we had back then... damn...

I see what yall mean. That WAS beautiful. It was not only nostalgic and brings back old memories but just shows how powerful and pure it was back then and not really fully realizing that at the time. Dope!:)
