as u know, im comin out to the Apple for a little business and even more pleasure.
the BGOL fam came thru for me on the airport tips.
now i need a good itenirary for the 4 days in the during labor day weeekend.
i most def wanna check out a least 2 Bway shows (Fela! is on the list), but also want to get a good taste of the city from a tourist and non tourist point of view.

a good breakdown on what i can do in the day, afternoon, and night (and even late night) would be a great start.

im goin with my homegirl whos meeting me out there. straight platonic, but shes a hip hop head like me, so if yall know of any hip hop spots would that will be a big plus.

all serious suggestions welcome.

Not serious but I cant stand that fucking place with a passion.
I spent way to much money on simple shit that shouldn't have cost half of what it did,the food joints are just nasty and the fucking people dont stop for nothing and no one.

oh, word?
u got info on that?

Brooklyn...Eastern Parkway on Labor day....3 million+ strong of West Indian Pride....

just go to the city man....you can walk anywhere and find a cool spot to eat or chill.....

if you want to head to Queens, BX, or brooklyn they are alot of spots to hit up too...

times square - thousands of other tourist there walking around,,, where the broadway theaters & mtv are located,,, come up on some outta town pussy from women literally all over the world

rockefeller cente
r,,, nbc & today show located there,,, go to top of rockefeller bulding,,, actually a better view than empire state bulding

central park
,,, big ass park with people doing all kinds of shit there,,, good people watching starting at 59th st

staten island ferry,,, used to be free (not sure if still is),,, boat that takes you from manhattan to staten island,,, goes past the statue of liberty,,, don't want to waste your time going inside the statue,,, not that impressive inside,,, but you'll be dazzled seeing the outside

Harlem,,, ride damn near any train uptown to 125th st & just walk around,,, home of the Apollo,,, can cop damn near anything from kats hustling on street,,, eat at Silvia's Soulfood restaurant,,,

brooklyn bridge
,,, go down there & walk halfway across the bridge & back,,, great view of nyc skyline,,, if you want to see nyc hood folks, go to Fulton Mall (not too far from bridge & simular to 125th in Harlem)

museum of modern art
,,, used to be free on friday (not sure now?),,, friday was the best day to go meet some upscale (non hoodrat) females,,, & enjoy some picasos & the same time

i could keep going on & on,,, you won't be able to do everything in nyc in a weeks time & i'm tired of typing,,,

I highly recommend City Island Seaport in the Bronx. Nice row of seafood places that are chill as shit to eat at.

Stay away from the labor day parade! If you seen the vids I posted from last year, then :smh:

The decent chicks don't go to these 'parades' anymore. Even the brazilian fest the day before is hit or miss

Wait. Why are we talking about stuff that happens next month :dunno:

*edit* just saw that u said labor day. for some reason I thought u were going to be in the area this month
