YEEZUS just LEAKED!

I'm not a big fan of new Hop Hop, but I have always been a Kanye West fan. It was you guys who turned me to Late Registration, I liked it so much I purchased College Dropout. :)

I think this is Kanye's beginning of his downfall album, when an Artist makes their so called experimental album it always sells because his fans still believe in him and his music, even if they don't really like the album. If the Artist return to their roots in the next album, all is forgiven and the Artist can continue on their lofty perch. If the next album is another attempt to show the fans how diverse they are, it's a career wrap. You can only fuck your fans twice, then it's hard to get them back.

Just my opinion :shades:

I'm not talking about in the hood, honey. I'm talking about with family and friends. They ones that love him before the fame. He needs to reboot with his foundation. I said nothing about being in the hood. I didnt know he was from the hood. I though he came from a working class family. His mom was an educator and taught in Japan for God sakes.

The hood meaning the neighborhood he grew up in. Why does he have to do this is what I'm asking. Is he on heroin or something? The man does not want to make the same old music. I think he's demonstrated that time and time again. He doesn't need an intervention for not wanting to be boxed in.

All of this "we won't let artists go outside the box" talk is nonsense. As an early hip hop fan from waaaayyy back, we were used to the routines, simple but dope rhymes, and breakbeats. Then RunDMC came out with "Rock Box". There were a few , but everyone was like "Aight, okay, we see you." We let them get away with it, because it was good. I know "good" is subjective, but that was the overall feeling. YEEZUS is not new or different, for me, it's just not that good. Funny, because most of you hate "On Site", and it's one of the very few cuts I like.

Yeah, ....but peep Prince's career, how many experimental albums did he make?......Hey, & he's still around pumping out music, a real artist can't be complacent, look at Miles Davis, though he loved the ballads of his birth of the cool era he decided to forgo playing them as time progressed 'cause it ceased being a creative act. I think Kanye is the same way, he will have his core fans like Miles and Prince's fans who will travel that winding road of creativity with Kanye.

Am I the only nigga that can play 808s from front to back? I love that album... :dunno:

Sent 7 days ago using Pre-Stamped Post Card purchased through Fulton County Jail commissary via USPS

You are not alone bro.

808's is EASILY in MY top 10 list of best ALBUMS ever bar none.

He's at the point where he's made enough money and gotten enough accolades and critical acclaim to say fuck ''the industry'' and just do him.

On Sight is the ONLY song on Yeezus that I like!

Russell Simmons said eloquently "Hip-Hop in it's purest form is a hard loud beat and amazing memorable rhymes"

It took for me to get through the album one time before On Sight clicked. But when it did, boy...

..I hope some gov't muthafuckas don't try to take him out, Tupac never could get free from Police-Controlled Death Row......& Kanye cannot be controlled like he said on YEEZUS and in the New York Times article....

I'll give it a listen. Kanye started losing me on Graduation and I was completely done with him when he put out that 808 shit. I always give him props for trying new things though

You never know fam. God bless him. Must feel great to be truly emancipated.

I owe y'all an apology. I thought this shit was pretty dope. My bad, I first listened to this through my laptop speakers, now I'm pumping this on my Beats and I came to the realization this shit is incredible.

...man, the last album I bought from Prince was LOVESEXY.....I slowly drifted away from Prince or did he drift away from me? I can't decide....

genius? classic? creative? you niggas must be on them bath salts. this shit aint even good industrial electronica. bunch of "let me make the most sonically abrasive shit, and watch how the masses eat it up" shit.

I agree with you 100 percent. This is by far Kayne's worst album :smh: There are some great stand out tracks but half of the album is trash. His next album should be better because this is the only bad album he ever made

Like I said I knew it was classic when I first listened but it might be too avant garde for the older hiphop heads and the Lil Wayne followers. It's not easily digestible and that's what people are looking for. I felt the same way about Kingdom Come.

:lol::lol::lol:

so the guy who's supposedly bucking the system, and "speaking the truth"- the one who the establishment just don't like

gets BLAZING reviews from all the top establishment media outlets

and their word counts for more than "older hiphop heads" aka THE TRUE HIPHOP fans who have been around and liked all the innovations that have occured in hiphop, sonically and lyrically.... and YOU side with the writers in newspapers, saying THEY know more about the art form, and they're the tastemakers-" fuck yall people in the streets, it's too ahead for y'all":lol::lol:

talk about bizarro world, where the mainstream gets to pretend to be an underdog, and avant garde

From a production standpoint this album is cool and I don't mind the experimental aspect of it but he isn't saying shit.

I listened to this a few times yesterday and nothing he was saying was memorable. It's like his rapping was an afterthought. You can slide me the instrumental version of this album and I'd be cool with that.

Kanye just doesn't have the emcee'ing capabilities to really create something that's totally next level.

Just imagine if he fully produced an album for somebody like jay electronica though.

J elect could drop a quick 16 over the bound 2 beat tomorrow and people would be looking at him like he was the messiah of hip hop again.
