Y'all Feel Sorry for This Brother... Or Should He Man Up And Deal With It?

I don’t. I know this chicks that does it and she look happy as fuck. Shit gave me a couple boxes of granola bars and paper towel after a customer didn’t respond to they order

Damn, reading these comments make med glad I got out of the restaurant biz early, and I will leave it at that.
I know man, dude just trying to do his job and people don't want to tip properly. I know whenever I decide to order for delivery that I'm going to pay more. A 15 to 20% tip is what I give, I can afford it and if I couldn't I'd get my lazy ass up and go get it myself lol.

I have mixed feelings on this. I tip heavily when i order, at the same time he knew what he signed up for.

I just took my sisters funky asses out to eat and I tipped $30 on a $125 bill. I did that because I know what it's like to work in customer service> I say that to say this: Do something about YOUR socioeconomic status man! You don't like what you do or the pay etc, then take your ass to school or slug it out to learn a valuable trade man! Stop looking for somebody else to save your ass! I know it's tough shit I slept on a fucking air mattress quite a few times as an adult with nothing so I know it stings but damn, cowboy the fuck up dude! You a man! real talk, all that feeling sorry for myself/you and having somebody sympathize for you is different from I empathize with you. I don't feel sorry for you cause you can change it. I do know how it is because I've been there. Shit's like Slavery. Never again!

Bro we talking about a grown ass man shedding tears over a career he chose. Not only that he really out here trying to get another person to cry about a career he chose.

It ain't like he went on a rant and cussed the customer out like he was mad, he got on social media and tried to get people feel sorry for him cause he chose to deliver food for a living.

Remember we talking about a grown ass man, that wasn't his first delivery, he knows all people don't tip the same.

Negro crying on social media. Sack up, quit, work 2 or more jobs. This pudding soft shit needs to stop.

THIS! Hey, I didn't like my mortgage payment this month! It's looking real unfamiliar and shit to me but guess what? I still gotta pay it! shit the price of chicken went north, who gonna pay that for me? It's easy to cry about the shit to mfs who will feel sorry for you but I'd rather you look into the camera and say I'm about to change this shit for ME! I'm about to set this shit off in Covid and live like how I feel I should. Noooo, you look your Greg Oden looking ass into the camera crying snotty ass tears over a fucking tip? That's cringeworthy man! GTFOH with that B! You chose this! It's on YOU!

Yeah the getting on social media thing and crying wouldn't have been something I would have done but hey maybe that was good therapy for him, better for him to lose it on social media, than going somewhere and shooting up everybody. My point is no matter what the job is, people who can afford to do so should tip better. There will always be people doing those type of jobs no matter what the reason is.

After paying for marked up food who the fuck wanna tip big or tip at all on top of that?

Example-
Kfc 8 piece bucket wit no sides in store-15 dollars and change.

Uber eats-25 dollars.then delivery fee and taxes on top.

I wouldn't even give him a napkin and a chicken leg.foh

You're right but not every dude is handicapped. When I see grown men working Mcdonald's or folding sandwiches at Arby's I always ask the same question - Why not get a Warehouse gig? Or Amazon, or construction? Plenty of places just want bodies (no degree or skills needed) and pay way more. Fuck if I'm going to be on the internet crying over tips.
Easy..cause many people are naive to the options , pay rates/scale of certain careers, or don’t know how to go about applying for it... knowledge is power and unfortunate lots of info isn’t shared or known by most people.. that’s always been the case.. what’s common knowledge to you is unheard to many others.. as I tell people if you think a lot of young people that are over 18 that are either females or males in nyc knew that if they went and got free osha classes that they could start off making $19 or more an hour basically being a flag person for construction do you think they would fill out applications for retail jobs, be broke, or would be struggle hustle out here? The answer is no.. but nobody informs them about this type of opportunities and many other careers that dosent need college or in certain cases just a ged.. people in their households don’t inform them cause they may not know, schools definitely don’t informed them cause they have other agendas, and there are no commercials or dedicated sites teaching the youth these loopholes.. this is something I been preaching about for decades and believe board of Ed should make their priority informing the youth about career opportunities that college is not required.. but teaching the youth how to acquire money and not putting them in debt is not part of the agenda.. especially minority kids.. imagine a group of black young men making 20+ an hr at the age of 18 straight out of high school with possibility of increasing their wages every yr..no way they want black men and women to do that..keep them poor, uninformed, and brainwashed that’s the name of the game.. it’s why I will pass info to the younger generation and been doing it for decades

I used to do that as a primary job as a step up from labor ready. 12 hour plus days, man. Uber Eats dumbed down the payouts since COVID plus they are the worst platform. Grub Hub is the deal. However, those dispatchers running the show are the real jerks. I refused to play their game and so they blocked me from working downtown. I got jerked with Grub Hub. And you don't even know who is screwing you over.

Somehow, my debit card would be compromised whenever I ran those gigs. I swear to...

I feel for dude. And Uber got Postmates.

It's a terrible tip

But it's not on the purchaser it should be on the employer

They shame us into making it a livable wage
While they take home billions off their backs

That math never added up to me.

Sorry to that man that he's going through this. Now he sees it isn't sweet --- gig economy is hustle slavery unless youre doing it when it first starts

Do some other shit unless it's a super side job for fuck it money

I kinda feel his pain though... looks like he had a bad day and all the shit he was experiencing over time got to him.

A delivery driver for Uber Eats went viral after sharing a video of his reaction to the small tip he received from a customer.

In a video shared to TikToK, the Uber Eats driver told his followers that he had driven for an hour for a $1.19 (£0.84) tip.

“I wish people knew what it was like to deliver for Uber Eats, DoorDash, all these other companies. I just spent an hour driving around for a $1.19 tip.”

“Would it hurt y’all to tip us? Throw us $5? I got a $1.19 dollar tip and $2 dollar tip from the app,” the delivery driver continued. “What is that? It’s not even enough to cover gas. How am I supposed to survive like that?”

He went on to reveal that he was homeless and had struggled to pay for rent for four months, becoming visibly emotional.

“Everything fell apart on me and I haven’t been able to sustain myself, provide for myself, and these are essential services,” said the Uber Eats driver.

“I wish people knew what it was like, I just wish they understood what it was like to drive for these services,” he said, again referring to Uber Eats.

It was shared to TikTok by user “deliveryguy100”, and has since drawn over 800,000 views and thousands of comments.

I just ordered food. I am not your employer who is raking in millions.

I always tip and I think folks that dont, dont understand delivery is

a service.. and truly requires a decent tip and if you cant afford the service

via a decent tip then you should pick up...

its getting a little better for those food delivery guys at least in nyc,

where they legalize ebikes and scooters...

somehow someway dude needs to invest in an

electric vehicle

he should do another video asking for donations so
he can buy one

That sobbing negro is an agent trying to steer other young men away from masculinity. This shit is insidious.

ubereats / postmates are the same now & send you ALL over the place for a delivery.... you wont know where you are going until after you pick up the order... they be on that bullshit.

doordash keeps you in an area...

instacart is the shit!!! 1 order can be $50/ $60 / $70 making the distance which isnt as far as what uber sends you on is very reasonable. Its easy to make $150 - $200 per day doing it if you start out early...ijs

I feel bad for him AND I think he needs to man up...he going through some shit and got emotional (don't agree with posting on social media but at this point I think I am a relic from another time when it comes to that)...now its time to man up and get out of that...sometimes a fucked up situation is exactly what you need to move the fuck on

Dude is a waiter on wheels but doesn’t realize that’s all he is, and arguably is far less skilled than a waiter.

Everyone hits their rough spots in life. I understand that now of days more than ever.

You just have to figure out a way to pull yourself out of the position you’re in.

And if you rely on Black Jesus to do it, then you’re fucked.

I have mixed feelings on this. I tip heavily when i order, at the same time he knew what he signed up for.

But doesn’t the customer “know what they signed up for” when they order food. Expectations go both ways. Y’all may not like the messenger the but the message is correct. Should you (the customer) be spending 20 dollars to order food if you don’t have 25 dollars available to add in tip?

Shidddd a one person meal is $20  I’ll add $5 to :dunno:

My goodness. The U.S. is the easiest place to survive on earth. So I don’t get it when grown men with 4 functioning limbs can’t figure out how to survive here.

Part of it is because deep down they lazy. Some people have real issues like convicts but dude, you riding around picking up food. How hard is that? Then you complain? Use that energy to take some courses or trades to make better money! “I got to feed my family “ no shit! YOU got to feed your family so do better! And why all the posting your personal issues on social media? Because you know they gonna feel sorry for you huh? Throw a rock at his ass!

I don't know his situation. All I know is the decisions I make in my life is to not be in that predicament. I don't have baby mamas. I don't live an exorbitant lifestyle. I try to encourage people I know to live that same way.
