Woman dies in early morning rear-end collision on Highway 87​

The fatal crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. on the highway south of Port Arthur.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A 23-year-old woman from Spring died at the scene after being rear-ended on Highway 87 south near the Valero plants early Thursday morning, according to Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett.
The fatal crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. on the highway south of Port Arthur.
Burnett has ordered an autopsy in the case. The victim's name has not been released.
 
:lol: :smh:I saw a single car wreck. A few months ago. It looked like it was a young woman, she crashed her car. Where the exit was blocked off:hithead: There was signs and all. But she still managed to crash the car. The construction workers and police was just shaking their heads.
 
This morning there was a wreck on the way to work
(Apparently 2 dead, if the drive of the car lived, i’d be shocked)


Monday after work, in the same area there was a bad wreck. It was said that one guy dead…


Sometimes we can’t control others but do your best to be safe on these roads
after covid i have personally never seen this many bad fatal accidents back to back to back...yes it is wild out here now..and not including
the smaller accident of folks just wiping out powerline poles & traffic lights just because... :smh:

“The DPS is investigating a fatality. This morning’s multi vehicle wreck on Highway 87 between Port Arthur and Sabine Pass claimed the life of a 23 year old woman from Spring. The highway has reopened after being closed for more than three hours. We have no reports of the extent of other injuries“

There is a back log of idiots. Those numbers likely would be more evenly spread over time had they been driving throughout the period you stated. There's also the caveat of increasingly common phone distraction while driving ticking up every day.
