if you got somebody eager to play, invite them. but otherwise i gave 1 of my boys in vegas (turbo) an invite to join.

anybody know how to sort the pre-draft selections by rank #? other than by doing them individually?
 
BTW, if you need another league to get your game on, you can join the joint bgol/sol league. The password is nasty.

Damn, sorry RayRay, our league been full since June. This was just a reminder to all 16 teams that the draft is coming up. But I got one other league for late comers. But that draft is THIS Saturday and we got 10 teams in that one. And one thing I don't wanna do only add ONE team and mess up the schematics. If you don't have an even amount of teams, your draft gets cancelled and it's way too late in the game for me to go scouring for another manager. So if TWO managers want in and BOTH SIGN UP RIGHT AWAY, then I'll be happy to add, but I can't add just one.

Been doing this long enough to know, cats want an invite, then wait 10 days (or sometimes even longer) to join. We don't have that kind of time

Np Cran. What's funny about that is I forgot where I was and sent those guys emails by mistake to remind them about your league.

Doing this for a few years now, and I'd estimate than maybe 1 out of 4 inquires into a FF league is serious. The rest usually blow smoke about kicking ass then disappear when it doesn't happen after the 1st couple weeks

How many leagues do you run?
 
Usually two. One for the sports board and one for a different messageboard (BBC), but BGOL had so many applicants, that I had to do another one. Sort of a spillover league comprised of cats from this board, and the old OneWorld OneHood board. Rather than have a league with 20 teams, just have one with 16 teams (Bulldawgs) and one with 10-12 teams (spillover league)

Buuldawgs league been in existence for at least 4 years now. And most of the managers there have been down since day one. Almost all of them are active managers and just want a fairly run game. I don't do shit except start up the league and send out email. This league was organized around June 8th. By June 18th we had the full compliment of 16 teams. There were a few rough edges to smooth out, but it's been smooth sailing the past 2 seasons. No bitching...no dopey trade offers to veto...just strong competitive games.


We will miss Dentskins though who passed away last spring and also brotha Phillies. Who is still has no access.

We got some strong brothas in this league:

KINGFROMQUEENS
SuperGenius

Yeah this is my second year in one of your leagues(One World). And I can say that of all the leagues I have been in this is the best. The scoring the other managers all on point. You don't realize how bad some other leagues are until you have been in a good one.
 
Thanks. That league definitely came up last year. First year it was kind of shaky. Wasn't even going to start it last year, but Nubians convined to me to try it again. I think the secret is I'm not scared of competition and I invite people from other leagues (public & private) that I've been in that do well (and don't bitch alot). So we get a mixture of cats who've won in other places.

Now this year looks to be even more competitive. Had previously missed two drafts and ended up with corn beef hash instead of sirloin steak. So wasn't taking any chances in this one. Like my defense alot, but my offense could use help on the bench.

You're The Finishers correct? Be on the lookout for bball invites soon

Well, here we are and the finals are dwon to the last Monday night game. In a rematch of last years' finals, defending champion Showtime is batting his arch nemisis (and 2 time finalist) MichaelAngelo. Looks like MA has clinched the victory as he has about a 100 point lead going into tonight's game. Don't want to be premature, but it looks like he will pull off the upset and take the crown.


In the alternate league, we're only in the semis. I'll let you know how it turns out. Looks like The Finishers will battle my squad for the title, but you never know

it started out with 3,900 entries. after 4 weeks it's down to about 100 entries.

last season the contest was over by week 8.

the prize money is over $80,000

and no, it isn't me. i got knocked out of the contest already.
 
Congratulations to MINDSTRETCHERS: Who won a close game against KAN O' WHOOPAZZ (Super Genius) to take
the 2010 BGOL Bulldawg title. Mindstretchers won on the arm and legs of TIM TEBOW who has stepped up since taking over for the
injured Kyle Orton. KOW was lead by Kenny Britt and Justin Tuck. But was completely let down by lottery pick Larry Fitzgerald

DCMC SB SHUFFLERS walloped the Screwston Texans to take 3rd place




Thanks to all for playing. This is my favorite league because all 16 teams can kick your ass
