I'm going through the same thing with Sam's Club. I had a pending charge last week, but it dropped off, and no other activity since.
At least the order is still pending, for now, but it's not looking like I'll be getting anything tomorrow.
Sams CLub & Walmart are on some fuck shit.
I had someone verify my order will ship tomorrow.

Picking mine up from best buy tomorrow at 6amBest Buy order's are shipping now.

This right is what I fear.
I'm cool with not getting it on launch day but to have to wait months despite successfully ordering one on launch day with Amazon would piss me off.
I inquired about my order earlier with customer service and it stated that my order was being processed and would ship on time which tells me nothing (this was the automated chat customer service function btw.)
Gamepass and Xbox app are 2 different apps ?
Yea. Xbox is more social focused. Gamepass is xCloud and installing games plus the perks and earning points.
Just checked my email and Amazon sent me that email stating I may not receive it until 12/31 
Honestly at this point I'm feeling like I'm going to just keep rocking with my Xbox One until they get their shit together.

My Xbox is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I’m not sure what I’ll be playing as the Bethesda deal is what drove me to buy it. I might get cyberpunk for it but as of now I have it on order for PlayStation
