Not sure what your needs are. But I bought one with the intention of getting a PS5 down the line. Bought a mid-range monitor and some speakers and haven't looked back. I've aged since my younger years and wear glasses now. So that extra power and graphics wasn't as important to me. Plus I just play whatever is on Game Pass. If you not worried about extra power and don't mind discless system. The series S is nice little beast on a budget. The games look great and play well. I did invest in a seagate storage card with my amazon prime points. I honestly haven't been pressed to get a PS5 yet.

I haven't bought a disc in years... and I still have my 3tb external HD sitting around here somewhere so I'm golden... I will likely get both disc-less systems because I'm like you I can't see the differences like I once could

eventually I just said fuck PS5 and got an X. Been pretty happy between it and my PS4
