I finally watched this on Kodi last night. I didn't completely hate the movie, and it did have some good moments for me:

Professor Xavier stumbling all over himself in regards to Moira McTaggert.

Quiksilver's action sequences were on point, especially the mansion rescue scene with "Sweet Dreams" playing in the background.

Nightcrawler was pretty damn funny at time. I was rolling at how he was cheesing when they were taking his picture at the school.

The meta moment when the kids were leaving the theater after seeing Return of the Jedi and Jean Gray saying "the third movie is usually the worst." lol

However, the movie left a whole lot of questions:

How the hell did Wolverine end up in the Weapon X program? That whole scene felt like one big excuse to include him in the movie.

Angel and Psylocke were complete wastes.

J-Law seemed like she just phoned it in.

Jean Grey saying that she can't control her powers, yet she's able to use them to take down Apocalypse.

Marvel needs to send some goons over to Fox and hold someone over the balcony until they sign over the rights so that this franchise can get some true justice.

Its been 20 years since First Class - why do they both look unchanged?
Quiksilver's action sequences were on point, especially the mansion rescue scene with "Sweet Dreams" playing in the background.
Its been 10 years since DoFP why is Quicksilver un-aged and still in mom's basement? only now seeking out Xavier?

Just thought about another sign of the lazy writing in X-Men Apocalypse. This movie takes place in the 80s yet both Magneto & Professor X look like they're still in their prime. Magneto was in his preteen years, which is typically when a mutant first displays any mutant abilities. This would put him in his 50s by the time this movie took place. :smh:

just came from the movies seeing this and I am definitely in the minority on this forum when i say, i like this movie more than the captain america movie. I hear all the problem you all have with it and how deep y'all are looking into it but as a movie the shit was good to me and i prefer it to civil war. Maybe the darkness of it and the happy go lucky shit in civil war made the difference but i went in thinking like most of you and came out pleasantly surprised unlike i was with civl war.

I think he meant how did he get there from where he was at the end of DOFP. Mystique was pretending to be Stryker at the end of DOFP and took him.....and he ends up with the real one here 10 years later with no explanation.

It's been 10 years. She could only keep him safe for so long. Somewhere in those 10 years striker was gonna get him. He was gonna get him no matter what, that's really the only way to explain how he get the adamantum.

I believe it is subjective on who likes or dislikes the film.

In my opinion, there was some decent action in it but it just
failed miserable with the lazy screenplay and awful direction.

Only best parts I liked was the QuickSilver 'Sweet Dreams' sequence
and the Magneto story of his new life.

Once again a Marvel villain was wasted in a motion picture.
Everything about the portrayal of Apocalypse in this film was garbage.
From the costume design, actor being used, sound audio and movie
lines was cheesy and awful.
There was nothing menacing of this character in the film.

J.Lawrence looked so disinterested in this film.
There were some scenes that she was meant to be serious
but with the lazy writing it became laughable because of
the awkwardness of her scenes.

I am not gonna mention the various plot discrepancies in this film;
there is just too many to mention.

If I had a choice I liked BvS more than this movie.
All in all, this is the worst of all the Xmen films.

X-Men: Apocalypse finished in second with an estimated $22.3 million, a 66% drop from its opening weekend, much steeper than expected and is now likely to find the film finishing somewhere in the range of $160-165 million domestically. For some perspective, that's just over where the first X-Men film finished back in 2000, is right around where X-Men: Days of Future Past was after just ten days in release, where Deadpool was at after just five days and less than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice made in its opening weekend.

Internationally, however, X-Men: Apocalypse is delivering. The film brought in an estimated $84.4 million this weekend, which includes an estimated $59 million in China, the second largest Fox opening in China behind only the Titanic re-release and $20 million more than Days of Future Past opened with. The film's international total is now up to $286 million, bringing its global cume to just over $400 million, currently placing it within the top ten for 2016. Should this trend continue, Apocalypse would end somewhere around $650 million globally, which is about $100 million less than Days of Future Past.

The Wolverine scene was the best rendition of Wolverine out of all the other bullshit ass Movies. Also the fight with Apocalypse is nothing in compare to the battle Sansa Stark had trying to hide her accent.

Just saw it last night with the lady... we both loved it, but again I dont follow the comics too close so I wouldnt know certain details of what may have been jacked up.

I agree.

you can't get rid of master villains. I'm ok with them stopping sentinel's and shit. Stopping a crisis im good with that.
You're not killing apocalypse in 2 hours

They actually killed him in 5 minutes. It was a one short "battle" if you will. A battle in which Apocalypse didn't do anything. :smh:

I swear they don't read the source material at all. It's like they just read the first paragraph of a wikipedia page, say, "Ok we got it", and make up the rest.
