"WW C"- COVID-19, GLOBAL CASES SURPASS 676 MILLION...Here we go again 2025 are we ready for Trump to fuck this up again?

.

The second major difference is that COVID-19 causes more severe disease than seasonal influenza.

While many people globally have built up immunity to seasonal flu strains, COVID-19 is a new virus to which no one has immunity. That means more people are susceptible to infection, and some will suffer severe disease.

Globally, about 3.4% of reported COVID-19 cases have died. By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected.

Yeah. People are already traumatized. The effect is going to be long-lasting.

Even when states begin to open up, a lot of people will be so cautious because of their anxiety levels.

I imagine that is may take some time for people to become comfortable with going out again and not feeling like they are going to die by just walking into a grocery store.

Agreed. It's interesting to see how much stores vary with their social distancing rules and policies too.

Some places have seemingly been running smooth operations for weeks now. Others are still shit shows.

They need to make their policies CLEAR as day to customers. Shoutout to the stores that are calmly & clearly ensuring that people do their part, themselves included.

I’ve been doing my research on the Spanish flu and the same Mistakes is begin to happen now.....people do not listen to dumb ass governors who want to open up the state to soon.

Interesting. That sounds plausible.

Highly polluted cities that are connected with the high number of cases and deaths are also densely populated areas as well.

It's still inconclusive that people can be effected from pollutants. If anything, exposure to a high density of pollutants for long periods can cause acceleration to other respiratory issues making people in those areas more susceptible to COVID19.

I would like to see how they can link COVID19 to air quality. There are going to have to separate pre-exposure to the poor conditions due to pollution versus the virus being able to travel on pollutant particles that can cause infections. Because again, these are densely populated areas, so there are more factors to consider as well.

Nevertheless, it's an interesting research topic.
