I am still waiting on data comparing the relatively low transmission on planes when masking was required previously compared to now. Not seen anything talking about spikes in transmission on planes so it could be that the circulation/filtration on a plane is playing a role in stopping the spread. It is still pathetic as fuck that every other Western democracy has/is taking this seriously while we allow a minority of vocal fools to do their thing here. I saw this a while back about the co2 monitoring they are doing in Japan etc:

Mom had COVID at the start of December. She said she was quite tired, but did the right thing and got plenty of rest. All up to date with her vaccines & boosters. Said she feels pretty much back to normal as of now a month later. Said she tested herself the other day by going for a long walk & to one of her dragonboat practices (she's been part of a team for the past decade). Said she felt fine. Said she would have stopped and turned around if she was fatigued on the walk, or not feeling it at practice. Thankfully all was good.

She's 72.

Coworker's been off from work the past week. He had time off at Christmas and New Year and has been spending more time with family. They all got sick. Everyone's fully vaxxed and boosted. I asked him how it's been, and he noted just quite tired. Plenty of mucus and phlegm previously, and fever for awhile. Thankfully his parents (mom's mid-60s and dad's mid-70s) are fine. Some other relatives seemed alright too, as does his older sister. Her husband (older sister's) though has had the most challenging time. Tough time with sleep / rest ... lots of vomiting. He's late-40s. Just had the 1 booster thus far, others have had 2.

Coworker himself is responsible though. Big on masking up and doing lots of cleaning / following protocols at work. It will be good to have him back next week.

He's healthy which definitely helped him - early 40s - runs, plays tennis & men's basketball league. Does stationary bike at home, etc.
