Yesterday, Hannah Montana had a concert at Nassau Colesium and the traffic was insane.

Are your daughters into that or is it a white girl craze?

Mother Accused Of Lying To Win Hannah Montana Contest

Man I don't know bruh. Recently she was in concert here locally and I heard tix were being sold for upwards of 300 dollars. Scalped of course. I hear all this shit from friends and family members who have kids. I had no idea who she was until about 2 weeks ago.

I don't have daughters but I have a class full of young Black children who eat this shit up...one time I brought them back to the classroom for lunch just to have some fun and I put it on the Disney channel...man these kids was singing every damn shit they showed...Cathy Lee sons got a show...them kids was singing the theme song to that...then there was a commercial for High School Musical I think with some gay ass looking kid running and skipping and singing and the kids was singing right along...then I think Billy Ray Cyrus or some country singer got a daughter that sing and some teacher said I bet the kids in your class know who she is and sure enough I brought the name up and they went crazy...and it's not just the girls either...all these little cats that try to be tough and hard be singing that shit the loudest...shit surprised me...cause these are straight up hood kids...

As a matter of fact this is the same bitch who the teacher told me to ask the kids about...she's a Black woman...she has a daughter and she was telling me her daughter is crazy about her too...

Man, they had these white parents on TV crying because they couldn't get their kids tickets to her concert
People were charging $1000+ for tickets on craigslist and actually selling them
White folks, I tell ya :smh:
And they say we're the ones that don't know how to spend money
I wonder the reaction I would have gotten from my parents if I had asked them to spend $1000 for Kriss Kross tickets back in the day

Hannah Montana is the most recent Disney craze.
I still can't believe she's "Achy Breaky Heart" Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter, but whatever.

Seriously, I have no idea what the fuck the genius masters at Disney know about kids, but they never seem to miss with the kids programming and acts. Man they've been nailing that shit since the orginal Mickey Mouse club.

$300?
Thats cheap actually.
When she was here in MN her tickets were selling between $2500-$5000 and that was from the 3 largest ticket broker companies here.
It made front page on the entertainment section of the paper about how brokers and scalpers bought up all the tickets within minutes and resold them.
Parents were shook and pissed off.
It's a good investment for those lacking scruples.

LOL.

Obviously you don't have young kids. Hannah Montana concerts are sold out EVERYWHERE. She is Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter, and has her own show on Disney.

But the High School Musical franchise has made over $2 billion, so she's got a way to go.

But all the Disney kids CD's sell like hotcakes, and this is without any radio play, so you know they are making a fortune, and skin color does not make any difference.

...then there was a commercial for High School Musical I think with some gay ass looking kid running and skipping and singing and the kids was singing right along...

Disney Channel these days could be compared to Nickelodeon in the 90's as far as popularity is concerned. The shit is huge.

:angry:Yeah my ex took my son who is 5 years old to her concert when she hit ST LOUIS,thats all his lil ass talk about now "Hannah Montana" "Hannah Montana". And he has a crush on her.

I wanted to whoop my ex's ass but what can I do I'm in KOREA

Yo I never heard of High School Musical until my kids told me about that shit last year...kids love singing...we have a chorus group and I tell you it's funny as hell watching the most "thugged-out" wannabes singing their hearts out with the hand gestures and facial expressions and everything...but I ain't mad at them though...I used to watch a lot of "white kid" shows growing up...I'm sure many of us did...that's what is being shown on TV...

just goes to show that racism is a learned behavior picked up from society..kids usually dont care about black & white. Somebody was right about that disney comment a few posts earlier.

My oldest (7) loves that show. That, Raven, Neds declassified and spongebob I keep on the tivo for her. My youngest (1) watches the Wiggles religiously. So Disney Channel and Nik stay on heavy rotation in the house.

I see nothing wrong with it. I used to watch worse when I was a kid. Hell, some of these shows are actually better than most network shows.

I dont know about paying anything over $100 for a ticket for a concert though.....

I tried to give people a heads up on the tickets during the presale but folks wasnt listening. My kid loves her and her music isnt half bad.

That is wild. My brother just got his 3 year old son a keyboard and he be playing the shit non-stop. Disney studios is about 20mins from his house I'm going to drill lil man to get him in the doors

Disney has been doing very well lately. Pirates, High School Musical, and this chick has helped them out big time.

Tickets are being bought by companies immediately, then sold at 4x or more.

Neds declassified is the pretty good - watch it with my jit(sorry So. FLA slang for kids) all the time- seems to me to be in the same vein as PARKER LEWIS CANT LOOSE

Blunt's lost a step. Only managed to be the 9th reply in this thread. :hmm:

What's wrong Bitch? Gettin' tired of your own act too?

:dance: I've been making a killing on Hannah Montana tickets. They go on ebay within one hour if you use Buy It Now.

A set of 4 floor seats cost me about $300 and sell for $1,500 - $2,000. When they first came out I hired people to stand in line in Baltimore.

On the second go round, I used my Amex pre-sale password to get 4 tickets (2 to Miami and 2 to St Louis)

Scalping is good.....not quite as good as I made out on the Dave Chappelle tickets last year. This was right after he walked off comedy central.

i know a black dad that wore a dress and ran and won a foot race on a radio show for his daughter:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

You're comparing the Jackson 5 with Hannah Montana, Cunt?:smh:

Yeah, my sister (4 years old) is into her. She sings her theme song, has a doll, and a bootleg CD (Courtesy of the fam). Don't know what it is about this little girl, but she's well favored amongst her peers.

My little sisters are big fans.

I sometime fear for my life gettin' in between them when that show is on.
They become completely hypnotized by that show.
