And no transition whatsoever between each song, LOL
Its like going to the barber shop, asking for a fade, but he can't blend the fade line at all

No cuts, no scratches, no smooth blends, no transitions, nothing
I see what he was trying to do.....drop mixing.....okay no problem
But when you abruptly drop a beat & pickup another beat like that, you have to time "the switch over" right
I dunno man, maybe its just my ears but it seemed like he was dropping the previous song 1 second or 2, too early
Example:
He starts off with the oochie wally beat then switches to the Hypnotize beat
I like the location of how he started the Hypnotize beat BUT.....
Listen at where he ended it, to switch over to the LL Cool J Doin it beat
He switched over before biggie was finished spitting the end of the bar
"Hah, sicka than your average, Poppa twist cabbage off instinct"
"Niggas don't think shit stink, pink gators, my detroit players"
"Timbs for my hooliga.....CUT TO THE NEXT SONG
So he's just gonna cut to the next song right in the middle of the verse?
Shouldn't it be "Timbs for my hooligans in Brooklyn .....THEN CUT OVER?
And that's just one example
Again...to me...it seemed like he was a second or 2 early when he dropped the previous beat/song to switch over
On top of that, the song selection might not have been what the younger crowd was into?
Plus the single ladies song seemed kinda out of place?
Money/power/respect ---> Single ladies?
Also when he tried to bring in the Shimmy Shimmy Ya beat, did he mess up in the beginning?

lol I feel ya. And no, we don't have to be expert DJs to know a good DJ. If you came up in hip-hop you're an expert on HIPHOP. Particularly that era he's playing, which is why you knew the lyrics to what was playing and what would've been a better cutoff. I know the frustration, but he is just doing it wrong.
Talking during the records is for DJs with personality. Brucie B, Kid Capri, etc mastered it. People in a party love a slick talking dude if he selecting right.
Dude's personality just got worse and worse over time IMO.
