WTF: Jay Z Kicked, Punched & Spit On By Beyonce's Sister Solange! (Video Footage)

i typed what i had to type already...and my shit was mainly directed at females that feel OVERLY comfortable w/ putting their hands on Men. But some of you are spending too much time on this bs. Coming in here typing all these long ass PROFOUND statements about nothing. It aint that serious.

If this shit wasnt put out in the public.....it wouldve just been another internal family issue that none of us wouldve known about. My hope is that Beyonce (her fam) and her Husband can make it through this bs.

where are we at with this thread now? have we reached the point where people have chosen to talk about anything just for the sake of keeping it going?

I have my own reasons why I don't like the both of them as people...but since they are based on my own personal set of ethics I'll move on to why I think their business practices are poison to out community

Beyoncé
Engages in deceptive advertising that enforced European standards of beauty
Sends mixed messages making songs for children then making songs about giving head in the back of a limo
Wears inapporiate clothing in front of family friendly audiences
Irrational demands for privacy while thrusting herself in the spotlight
Condones her fans to literally worship her
Outrageous prices for tickets
Her fans are nasty rude and condescending if you dare have a different opinion than them
Her overall brand image perpetuates the negative attributes of black women in the media
There is more but I'll stop here

Jayz
Made famous "30 is the new 20" encouraging black people to act like children and flee from any responsibility
Continued to do business with a company that notoriously racial profiled
Made songs encouraging the use of the nword...especially by whites
Perpetuate an unrealistic lifestyle of excess and extravagance to his target market who happens to be among the poorest in America
There is more but I'll stop here

And some ask...why am I even in this conversation about them if I despise them...two reasons...one because I can say what i just said above...the second is because I can't escape...the news...social media...hopefully they will go away and I won't be inundated with them

I see you...

RESPECT!

It is sad that black folks don't have a proper view of Jay Z and Beyonce.

He is a 44 yr old fake thug stereotype.
She is a 32 hypersexualized Carnival stereotype.

They are characters for the amusement and affirmation of the stereotypical premise of non-black folks.

Jay Z is a foul mouth, shit talker from the streets.
Beyonce is a sassy mouth, hootchie dancer from the streets.

This is who they are to the world.
This is who they are when they leave the house.

How is Jay Z different from Flavor Flav or Luke Campbell?
How is Beyonce different from Trina or Melyssa Ford?

These characters have a job to do and they do it well.

What the fuck is it :dunno:

This is about to get out of control. On MSNBC's Morning Joe program one of the female correspondents just said there is only one reason a sister would attack her sister's husband. A male correspondent responded "Jay Z is the nicest guy." Same female correspondent said,"I am not going to say it but those of us with sisters can figure it out." I may have quoted some of the conversation incorrectly but you all get what she was trying to imply. A few of the other members on this board said their women stated something similar.

Who sees Jay as a thug still? He a mainstream businessman now. Bey ain't nono-hypersexualize popstar either, that's Rhi. Your views on them aren't actually the general publics view of them at all, maybe some right wing nuts views but most people ain't seeing them like that.

take your black lenses off.

black perspective is not mainstream.

most people in the US and globally see him as a thug/rapper and her as a sexpot.

most people can't name one of his businesses.

Lol black people may be the only ones who even know him as a thug dude. They may have HEARD he was a drug dealer, but shit, that don't form their vision. The vision they get is the guy in the suit. He's no more of a thug than tommy Mottola.

So before Beyonce and Jay-Z hit the scene black folks were look at positively? Then came Beyonce/Jay-Z and now black folks are looked at negatively?

Thank you. The general media ain't looking at either of them like that. They are both mainstream icons & tycoons thru the eyes of the media.

Damn this shit is 20 pages, I haven't had time to see any of this because I have been at work, off day tomorrow though. I will check then.:yes:

We more concerned with how it APPEARS to others than what it actually is.

We fake and a backward hustling fake. White folks fake pretending they NOT shitting on us and things are "Better for us than ever before" but they making sure the system stays exactly how it has always been. WE instead just fake to rep keeping it real, keeping it looking like we have some say, keeping it looking like we running shit, keeping it looking like "We wish a nigga would" all day long. WE ain't got shit to show for it but a handful of "celebrities and housewives and basketball wives and the same 16 actors and actresses past 20 years it seems but we done advanced and came up.

Money has no value to white folks, power is everything and that creates money by itself. WE have incredible power and only care about money which we turn around and give away to buy stuff that we will make us APPEAR to have status and power, backwards hustling all day everyday.

How about this, two of most known and lets say "POWERFUL" black women on earth from opposite spectrum, Oprah and Beyonce. Neither will go without a weave under no circumstance, Beyonce at least took it out for a hot sec to perform but she then dyed her OWN hair blond and then put the BLOND weave right back. What is that telling your everyday struggling sister when the most iconic black women of this era won't go WEAVELESS? Notice I didn't say permless or all natural.

I'm no fan of Nikki Minaj but that is powerful statement that she creates image-wise to take all them rainbow color weaves out and go with her hair and continue to do so. Again hair fixation another poison our sisters suffer and they afflict on their own daughters.

This...

... and that.

2 of the most real posts I've ever read here. The reason why CACs think they're 'black royalty' is because that's the way they see all of us: a rapper and stripper.

:bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

I'll always applaud Black success (when it's legal ), but I'd rather celebrate a brotha with a corner store he owns married to a teacher than these two.

You make my point. White folks aint changed. They aint seeing a businessmen. White America knows he is a rapper whether he is wearing a suit or a white tee.

They were from the start and still maintained the image of 2 urban, street, inner city, black entertainers in the minds of the mainstream.

Are black folks believing that white folks are now judging them based on the content of their character, financial success and academic credentials?

Black stereotypes are a thing of the past?

I'm confused about your point.

Is it that white folks aint change or..that black folks don't take on white folks point of view??

Smh.....We accept what is real only when convenient and it validates our coded reaction to what is "conveniently real", we must always have wiggle room to not stand for or against anything FOR REAL, only for pretend. :smh::smh::smh:

Beys IG post:

My Prayer to God

Lord, I lift up every one of my relationships to You and ask You to bless them. I pray that each one would be glorifying to You. Help me to choose my friends wisely so I won’t be led astray. Give me discernment and strength to separate myself from anyone who is not a good influence. I release all my relationships to You and pray that Your will be done in each of them.
