I'm up way longer than what I need to be but ima try and hit you off with a short explanation... Basically its a peer-to-peer file sharing system, kinda like kazaa, limewire, napster, etc. except instead of using the program's search to find what you're looking for you use websites (eztv in your instance, google it). The torrent file you open from there gets you started downloading in the bittorrent client (most popular ones are azureus and uTorrent) from other peeps that have the file. Most stuff will play in Media Player if you have the codecs.

Yeah, pretty much. To be honest, with the ones that I've used, you'll be better off using a computer that you can keep on at all times without having to restart it very often. The downloads go rather slowly (at least for me), but you can find movies (recent releases like 300) quicker via torrents than you can on a forum like BGOL.

Don't worry about the codecs; most of the movies will play using windows media player. If they won't, then search for "Total Video Player". It has played every media file for me so far without any problem, and it loads pretty quickly and all that.

The edonkey network is really good for finding recent releases; I use shareaza for mine; it's pretty simple to use. There are probably better ones out there (emule), but I'm sticking with what I know. Perhaps someone else can shed light on this for you.
