WTF... In America?????????

As soon as today President Obama could sign the National Defense
Authorization Act into 'law' and claim the power to detain American
citizens indefinitely without charges or a trial.

The lame stream media has made a big deal out Obama's threats to
veto the bill, but his objections had nothing to do with the
constitutionality of the bill or indefinite detention.

In fact, it was his administration that stripped the bill of
language protecting American citizens.

It is a deliberate deception, here's the proof...

Thanks Tinman!!!

:hmm:

You know they have been talking about this on NPR, WBAI, wwrl1600, the last couple of days. I am surprised there hasn't been a 2 or 3 page thread about this on BGOL. Don't see any mention of it on FB either! Boy people in this country are really asleep!

Yes... and only a few on this board... we are bomb barded with a ton of issues so it is easer for them to sneak it by us all! :hmm:

Preparedness or Paranoia?

I only want you to think... please!

Obama and his media accomplices have tried their best to play off his 'veto' threats as being out of concern for the constitutionality of detaining American citizens indefinitely and without any kind of constitutionally protected right to due process.

But that's not the case at all.

Obama is no longer threatening to veto the bill, and it still contains the ad hoc legal framework to allow black bags to be thrown over the heads of American citizens and have them whisked away from their homes to some unknown location indefinitely.

Things have changed indeed people...

The good news is that troops are actually leaving Iraq.

However it is deceptive of the media to portray this as the fulfillment of a campaign promise, when really it was against the president's will and not really his decision.

And then, of course, there will be the huge 'diplomatic' contingency and an army of thousands of private contractors that will remain in Iraq for the foreseeable future.

Media Reporting vs Reality...

The 'Battlefield America' bill had yet to be signed, but already drones designed for the military, these machines of war, were being deployed here at home and against American citizens.

Not to fight terrorism either, for so-called 'domestic' law enforcement.

This is a report on how deep it goes and why American citizens are being targeted...

If you or you know someone fighting foreclosure you have rights. But you have to fight!

Governments all over the world outsource to Serco, from traffic lights and cameras, to air traffic control, to schools, to privatized prisons, and much much more.

Serco has had a hidden influence on all of our lives, and most of
us have never heard of them.

Well, you're hearing about them now...

A multi-trillion dollar scheme that will end in tears

Do this have you thinking???

Well folks, the deed is done.

It is now being reported that President Obama has signed the National Defense Authorization Act into law, which codifies the possible indefinite detention of Americans without due process.

By definition, Martial Law is the suspension of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution for military rule.

At least we saw it coming...

While Americans shopped, the Constitution was shredded

At this point we have nine years of hard scientific evidence that
disproves the government's theory about what happened on September
11th and yet people continue to be either oblivious to the fact
that this information exists or are completely resistant to looking
at this information.

Psychologists explain 9/11 denial...

Still sleeping???

It's a simple question.

Do individual rights of citizens outweigh the profit margins of mega-million dollar companies?

Chris Dodd thinks so.

The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) will criminalize the fundamental structure of the Internet itself and end the free flow of information and ideas we have hitherto enjoyed...

Government attempted to legalize and codify their lying!!!

I would say it's unbelievable, but it's not. In fact, it's totally believable.

The Department of Justice attempted alter the Freedom of Information Act (FIOA) to allow them to LIE about the existence of requested documents.

Ordinary citizens seeking government information would be far less likely to demand justification for withheld records that, as far as they knew, did not exist. Federal agencies would have to justify far fewer decisions to withhold such information.

So much for a more open and transparent government...

Remember how we were told that the terrorists attacked us because they 'hate our freedoms'?

Back in 2006, Newt Gingrich gave a speech at an award dinner billed as a tribute to crusaders for the First Amendment, at which he dropped more than a few jaws as he called for the curtailing of free speech to fight 'terrorism'.

That's right, Newt Gingrich would destroy freedom in America to save it. Perhaps they won't attack us if Newt takes away our freedoms, you know, the ones that the terrorists hate so much.

I'm sure that by now you've heard that North Korea's 'Dear leader' is dead.

For an isolated and dangerous regime, this has the world wondering what will come next.

From what we can tell, Kim Jong-Il's son Kim Jong-un (The Young General) is his successor, but his future as the leader of N. Korea might not be without contest.

In a rogue and tyrannical country like N. Korea, we hope for stability with a bad taste in our mouths. Who could root for the son of a madman looking to fill a tyrant's shoes?

What will happen next?

Real estate reality

If you can count the "too big to fail" banks are all insolvent

It turns out the sales numbers that the National Association of Realtors has been sharing with us over the last three years were a "little off."

An average of 14% per year off to be exact.

Why did they overstate sales so dramatically?

Rounding error, accidental double counting, the dog ate my homework and other assorted nonsense. No big deal.

On a closely related theme, Here are some barely noticed real estate fireworks from a 2009 Congressional hearing.

If you tally the books correctly, bad real estate loans have rendered all the top US money center banks insolvent. (But don't tell the auditors...)

:hmm:

Believe it or not, it's time for another presidential election in the US.

Less than a year from now we'll know who the "winner" is.

If you'd to follow the campaign in detail - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the ridiculous - here's a new video channel I strongly recommend.

I guarantee subscribing will give you more insight and depth of knowledge on the race than you'll get from watching any 20 news channels.

First topic...a feature lampooning one of the great ego manics in American history.

If you like it, please share it. That's how we grow.

Deadly strain of SUPER BIRD FLU created in a lab... :smh::eek::smh::eek:

A super-strain of bird flu that could infect and wipe out millions has been developed in a laboratory.

Dutch scientists who created the 'Armageddon virus' say it is 'probably one of the most dangerous viruses you can make'.

:hmm:

Seriously. The man who signed legislation codifying the indefinite detention of Americans without due process or even charges...

The man whose administration sought to legalize lying about the existence of documents it doesn't want to turn over upon request...

The man whose administration sold firearms to Mexican drug cartels and tried to blame it on American gun laws, the laws they themselves had subverted, in order to call for more gun regulations...

Can we please get THIS out there?

Obama did not end the Iraq War, he was merely president when the government we installed in Iraq kicked us out.

:hmm:

The only 2012 Presidential candidate that doesn't want to start another war just might win the prized Iowa Caucus and now the event that once meant so much, means nothing...

Unless you come in second or third.

What does a principled Constitutionalist have to do to win, I mean besides win?
