Making A Killing:
The Untold Story of Psychotropic Drugging
A few of our recent posts have got me studying up on psychotropic medications.
There's a lot going on out there, and it's scary, but it's all bits and pieces.
But then I found this, Making A Killing: The Untold Story of Psychotropic Drugging
It's the story of big money-drugs that fuel a $330 billion psychiatric industry, without a single cure.
The cost in human terms is even greater as these drugs now kill tens of thousands of people every year, with bad reactions ranging from heart failure to suicide, and even homicide.
Containing more than 175 interviews with lawyers, mental health experts, the families of victims and the survivors themselves, this documentary puts all the bits and pieces together in one place and the picture is clear...

Iraq war veteran: 'US Government doesn't care about poor working people'
U.S. Senate backs military force on Iran
Even though there is still no evidence of a secret weapons program, nor evidence that any uranium has been diverted from Iran's nuclear energy program, some U.S. Senators still want war as an option.
In fact, they are INSISTING that 'preemptive' war remain an option.
That's backwards really, I would prefer that, unless we are attacked, our Senators INSIST that diplomacy remain an option.

I wish her the very best. They say it is retinue but who would beleive this shit!Check this one out!
You know the reason why our gov't and the American public are so godlike and cavalier and hawkish about war is because we have never had this happen to any of our cities! We have never experinced the true horror of war!
The Great Gibson Guitar Raid: months later, still no charges filed
Months after the Feds raided the Gibson Guitar factories in
Tennessee the government has still not leveled any charges against the company.
Originally it was claimed that Gibson was using illegally purchased wood from Madagascar and India to make their fret boards.
The Departments of Homeland Security and Fish & Wildlife raided the factories, sent workers home, and confiscated wood materials, but by not pressing any charges they are denying the company the chance to defend itself in court and get their confiscated materials back.
Interestingly enough, another guitar company using the same wood from the same sources was not raided, but then that company donates money to the party in power.
Here's an update on the Great Gibson Guitar Raid...

Cats on BGOL liken Obama to Bush, but he reminds me more along the lines of a Nixon on steroids.

Gas prices rise 10¢ live on air in Los Angeles
A testament to how fast things are getting out of control, gas prices were rising live on air in Los Angeles.
During a two minute segment on rising gas prices, a reporter live on-scene at a gas station observed the prices on the sign behind her go up ten cents while on camera.
It's hysterically unfunny, see for yourself...
