Wresting heads.....WWE Network is premiering next month, are you in?

Thanks.

What's the beef with Ventura again?

I believe it was due to various lawsuits against WWE, Vince McMahon over the use of his images/likeness appearance when he was an announcer. Guess he wasn't paid for WWE DVD releases in the past. He was more or less scrubbed from history in recent releases.

I've been away for awhile, but lately been checking it out. Who are those phat ass sistas they have on there now?

Cameron and Naomi: The Funkadactyls.

Nope, because i get the feeling that when they're not showing old school footage they'll be showing Cena footage.

You have the option to watch what you want to watch.

My understanding is you will be able to choose what you want to watch. Similar to VEVO, which has a live channel (showing music videos like old school MTV) and the option to watch videos you want to watch, by searching, by artist, genre, etc...

From what I read, it will be along those lines. It will use a VEVO or Hulu Plus type of model.

I've been saying for the longest that the WWE should have an online/streaming channel instead of going for the traditional channel on cable/satellite.
I agree this could be a game-changer in terms of other companies like MMA following suit.
Even though I already have a lot of the old WWF and WCW PPVs downloaded, I will probably check out the channel to see if I like it and if it's worth keeping down the line.
Having this year's Wrestlemania (with 6 month commitment) available in the price makes the deal even sweeter.

Cool but i'm not watching anything past 2006:lol:

Programming announced at the Consumer Electronics Show included:

  • All 12 WWE pay-per-view events.
  • WrestleMania Rewind - The first show named to be part of the network. It will be a retrospective look at WrestleMania's memorable moments.
  • The Monday Night War - A television series about the Monday Night Wars.
  • WWE Legends' House - A reality television series featuring several WWE legends.
  • Pre and post shows of weekly television events.
  • Weekly airings of WWE NXT.
  • Weekly airings of WWE Superstars.
  • More than 1,500 hours of content from WWE Libraries will be available for on-demand streaming.

I haven't watched wrestling since the late nineties or early 2000's but I might check thus just for the reality television shows. That alone could make it worth the money.

Benoit and Jesse Ventura both will not be edited out. Only editing I read would be in regards to music not owned by WWE to avoid license issues.

I think enough time has passed the WWE should do their own Benoit documentary about his career and up to the time before and after his death.

Damn, sexy as hell.

Looking at those pics, I just realize that the divas (outside of Naomi and AJ Lee) ain't shit :smh:
If you're talking about looks then imo they all look better than AJ, if you're talking about wrestling then i would add Natalya to the list of divas with skills.

I don't watch wrasslin' no more but I wish I could've caught that blast from da past da other night.

I hate newer wrestling, but for the old shit? fuck yeah.. 90s WWF/WCW was the motherfucking shit

Vince just made a POWER move. and side note: the only wrestler I follow now is CM Punk but unfortunately i feel that he is in the wrong era. he is tailored for the attitude era. Hell he could of did well in the ruthless aggression era (2002-2007)

A highly underrated time in WWE. Better than the Attitude Era in my opinion as they shifted back to a wrestling based product and weren't trying so hard to be "shocking".

I don't know as of yet but I'm more than likely going to subscribe. Fuck all that WCW/old WWF/ECW stuff I've seen a thousand times, they got the old Mid-South library.

the value for me is the PPV's

I'm not interested in watching old events

Yeah - many people are saying the current UFC Fight Pass platform (free trial until the end of Feb' and then around $10/month thereafter) definitely pales in comparison to the WWE offering. Many of us MMA fans would be on board with the UFC one if they stepped their game up ... considering the number of live events and pricy PPVs, which is frustrating.

Yup. But instead they made all preliminary fights for the free events a part of Fight Pass. Oh well. Fuck em.
