Yes, I agree that it's fucked up. But tell me when and where it has been condemned in the black community? A big reason why Oprah, Alice Walker and other black feminists and writers resonate with black women is because they were willing to put this kind of behavior out in the public.
The blues is the foundation for pure R&B. Much of the music you hear today is because of people like Howling Wolf. Yet these musical geniuses can't get any airtime today but their music continues to be sampled today. Guess originality wasn't a hereditary trait that got passed down. Where would today's music be without the greats from Wolf's era?
