Wow, R Kelly is the king of R&B

R Kelly once said he stole some of his sound his sound from old Chicago Bluesman blues man Howling Wolf

Robert is a complicated man, but yes he is R&B royalty in this country. To bad that little source of pride does nothing for the Chiraq mindset.:smh:

A lot of musicians stole from Howlin' Wolf and other bluesmen, a lot of people don't really know just much blues is the foundation of modern music.

complicated...once upon a time the community used to take males "complicated" like that out back and put 2 holes in their head. Now we celebrate them as long as they can carry a tune or a ball..

complicated..:hmm:

No, the "community" didn't. Adult men have been exploiting younger women and girls since forever, and especially in the black community, often with the silent consent of the girls' mothers and families.

and thats TOTALLY fucked up...don't you agree?

r kelly doesn't deserve any kind of praise for anything hes done and any time anyone brings up his name cats should call him a rapist in the next breath. You can't say you have respect or love for black women and give this nigga a pass on that shit I don't care if it was 100 years ago.

Yes, I agree that it's fucked up. But tell me when and where it has been condemned in the black community? A big reason why Oprah, Alice Walker and other black feminists and writers resonate with black women is because they were willing to put this kind of behavior out in the public.

The blues is the foundation for pure R&B. Much of the music you hear today is because of people like Howling Wolf. Yet these musical geniuses can't get any airtime today but their music continues to be sampled today. Guess originality wasn't a hereditary trait that got passed down. Where would today's music be without the greats from Wolf's era? :dunno:

Especially in the black community is bs. The most famous person ever to exploit a young girl is Elvis "The King" Presley.

He's not king but he solidified his spot as a contender with that performance he did at some awards show where he did 10 second of each one of his hits with a 2 sec pause in between each tune then walked off without acknowledging the crowd on some *drops mic* shit. I'll give him Archduke.
He is one of the few artists where I can pick and choose through all his hits (including all released eps of TITC) and sit there for an hour or more without feeling like I'm wasting time.
