Would Tyson Ever Have Beaten Ali ?

Tyson had good technique, speed and awesome power BUT
he was missing the most important thing, which Ali had in abundance
intelligence Ali would've played with Tyson, taken him into the deep rounds like everyone else who beat him(he was lacking endurance too), and Muhammad would've kayoed his azz like in the 11th imo. I feel cats when they say Tyson had power, but so did Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Shavers,, Liston and Quarry, and Ali beat them all. And he beat most of those guys when he was past his prime. Unless he landed a lucky punch, like Ali stepping into one, he'd lose.
IMO TYSON NEVER WOULD'VE BEATEN ALI.

but...I think Ali would have whupped Tyson so FAST, Tyson would have woke up and asked "When we gone start?, Why ain't they ring the bell?"
Ali beat Mike Tyson twice. Once in 64 and again in 73
Ali. He would be too tall and too mobile and he was a much harder puncher that people give him credit for. 10 rounds at the latest.
To answer the power question: Foreman
I've see foreman cripple fully grown men with a body shot. Look at his videos, you can see the opponents whole body shake when he hits them. I'm not saying he's the best but I think he was head and shoulders above all other fighters in the power department. Ali could hit you right on the button and put you out, but that was accuracy in head shots. same thing with tyson.

Ali would win, 3rd round if tyson underestimated him and tried to walk in on ali's long arms or 11th if tyson stayed back and tried to pick his spots. Ali in his prime, before he was banned from boxing, was magic to watch. I've seen him snuff guys punching with his hands at his sides! do you know how fast you have to be? He was too fast, too tall, too smart for tyson even in tyson's pre-jail form.

For all the cats that didn't get to see him in his prime, Tyson does NOT hit harder than Foreman. People actually asked Ali not to fight him because they thought Muhammad wuz going to die in Zaire, thats how hard the man hit. And STILL George went down like this.....

On punches
Commentators would marvel at how Foreman sometimes lifted boxers off their feet with his punches. This man could hit you on the shoulder and take you down. Given the proper skills and smarts, he would have been unbeatable.
On Ali/Tyson
Joe Frazier could kick some serious ass, but Foreman turned him into a punching bag. Ali was smart enough to work around Foreman's power. He would have done the same with Tyson. In fact, I feel Tyson would have been an easier opponent. Recall how frustrated Mike was with Holyfield. Ali would have exploited that to the max with his dancing, shuffling, and trash talking in the ring.

Read Foreman's Autobiography "By George" and you'll see what i'm talking about. After he lost he got all kinds of management deals that had a "rematch Ali" clause in them

According to Foreman's book the only way he could get a rematch is if he were to use the same managers that he used when he first fought Ali. That doesn't sound like a fix to you?

Dude, you don't clean out the heavyweight division twice AFTER your prime, in the greatest era of heavyweight boxing in history without being the greatest. Foreman's comeback, so-so, compared to coming back and beating Frazier twice, Ken Norton, Ron Lyle, etc.. Who did Foreman beat, Michael Moorer? A good fighter no doubt, but not in the same class as the guys Ali beat. That wuz one multi-million daollar punch that Foreman threw, compared to Ali's career after 30years old, no contest.

Nah, Ali would've eaten Lewis in his prime. Too many people remember the much slower older Ali who laid on the ropes because his legs were shot from old age. Remember the lightening fast heavyweight who could dance circles around ninjas and knock you the fuck out with a "phantom punch". I don't see too many heavyweights in history who could come close to that Ali, and certainly not Tyson or Lewis. He was probably one of the top five smartest fighters ever, who could adjust to mostly any tactic in the blink of an eye. I couldn't really see Tyson or Lewis beating a young Larry Holmes let alone the G.O.A.T
Now Foreman and Lewis would've been some interesting shit. Both tall, one's a brawler the other is the boxer. To me Lewis never fought anyone noteworthy in their prime. People make it seem like he knocked out a young Tyson, he KO'ed a tired-azz old man and beat an old worn out Evander. I think a young Mike would've tore Lennox a new one, I never saw Lewis as a fighter with much heart or chin, to me he's overrated.

You are also forgetting that ALL the dudes Tyson fought and KO'ed were already beaten by fear before they even stepped in the ring. Frazier did win the first fight between the two when he landed a great hook on Ali. The only way Tyson would have a chance is if he worked his way inside to land one of those devastating punches he had in his prime. But I doubt that would happen though.
