I find it hard to believe that there is actually a debate about this, because in my opinion, there should be no confusion in anybody's mind.

The man who introduced "UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" as a rap phrase, the man who brought you "Bout it, Bout it" who unleashed rap demons like Tru, Silk the Shocker ("I know this game like my ABC's"), C-Murder and Lil Romeo. The man who killed Mystikal's career and almost killed Snoop's.

How is there even a debate?

Master P was on every radio station after 2pac died. They plugged him like crazy on MTV, put him on Jet, Ebony and Essence covers. Introduced the phrase, "Why you hatin' on Pee?" anytime anybody tried to say he was the wackest fool ever born.

Hip-Hop died when Master Pee became popular.

I hate fools like MC Shan, but at least he made meaningful contributions to the game.

And I can see Too $hort on this list...the first time I actually heard a full album was Cocktails...his rhyming was so elementary & boring I just couldn't understand how he was so liked. But then I realized it solely becasue (as FOSHOO45 basically states) pimpin' is seen as "cool" so the sheep will follow...maybe some folk like his production but for the most part, Too $hort has zero talent.​

As a former Too Short fan....
Cocktails was WAY after his prime. He only had one good song on that album, I think it was called "Paystyles".

A more accurate display of his non-wack work is on albums like "Life is.... Too Short" "Born to Mack" "Short Dog's In the House" "Shorty the Pimp" and "Get In Where You Fit In"

in my opinion. I judge solely on lyrically content and/or
