Man the horror stories I've heard from contractors making half a million dollars in a three year period, and coming home with zero in the bank...
I have a friend out in Texas spent six years in Riyadh working for Vinnell Corp. He came home after being injured during an attack on their compound. He said his wife drained over 800 thousand dollars from his account! Dude said he went to the bank using a walker, and they told him he had $26.42 left in his account.
His wife for well over 15 years even let the house go into foreclosure. I was like did you kill her?

You put the woman on allowance, pay all the bills yourself and don't give her too much or she will blow it. My wife fucks off the small amount I give her cause she didn't earn it, so it's "free money" I asked her, did you stack any of the cheese I gave you in case of emergency, she was like "no".
Seriously, for guys that do these jobs, maintain control of your house or you will be sorry. I pay the bill electronically and have my whole crib wired. I know when my broad cuts on the AC, opens the window, everything.

These guys have to understand the meaning of "new money" vs. "old money". Just like an athletes who get a new contract and spend seven grand at a strip club.

What I did once I started making money was spending my travel stipend on dumb shit, but put my salary away. So I'd maybe fuck off the 3 days of travel expenses, but put away the 28-35 days of full pay work.
For what you spend on table service, you can stock a nice bar in your house. Never paying $50 bucks for 8 bottled waters just to be "seen". Shit is extra stupid.
Glad I followed these rules cause with the way the oil business is going, our shit is drying up faster than Billy's lips in the winter.

You ever get a chance to post about Sweden opportunities?Just built a studio in Malmo, Sweden.
Taxed damn near 30-40%, but socialism actually works here. Pay is great. People make careers at McDonalds. (Damn near $20/hr). Due to being a minority, we were able to get grants for business relatively easy. This country supports the arts heavily.
Lots of jobs in IT and Engineering sector.
I'm sure BGOL would love the prototype white women over here. They are getting thick too.

I'll double check. Our business is going through a restructuring and I'm so glad I stacked my chips. Been off for 4 months while they are bidding new contracts. If trump gets his way, shit will be back to booming, but expect the fish you eat to have more mercury than a thermometer.
Edit: Nah, C innovations laid people off and a lot of rigs and drill ships are cold stacked. I'm supposed to go to Thailand next month so I'll see. I'll post pictures if I go.

Just got back from Houston. The place is ok. I'm thinking of a place to put a US base that isn't cold. I'm a lover of architecture and traditional looking buildings. Unfortunately, from what I observed, businesses in Houston are so driven by profits, that every building that goes up is as functional and basic as possible. The result? Streets with schools, offices and stores that all look like giant shoe boxes. It is very ugly.
Visited Memorial, Woodlands, River Oaks, Royal Oaks and Sugarland and they have these new developments (Sienna to be exact) Houses are being built by Toll Brothers...
Still exploring other options. Not migrating but having a base in the US would be great
