JOB SUMMARY: Project management of all functions associated with the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

Supervises: 1 intern
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the annual OMYF fund-raising events, including, but not limited to, the Orlando Magic Black Tie & Tennies Charity Gala, the Orlando Magic Player’s Championship for Charity. Responsibilities include: Production and distribution of collateral materials, database management, assisting with overall event coordination (committee involvement, set-up/layout, registration, selection of vendors for sound, tables/chairs/stage, food items, coordination of talent, all logistics, activities area, VIP reception, guest payments, theme, etc.).
Coordinate and oversee the silent and live auction process for the annual OMYF fund-raising events, including, but not limited to, the Orlando Magic Black Tie & Tennies Charity Gala and the Players Championship for Charity. Responsibilities include: Inventory maintenance, coordinating the gathering of items (research, mail-outs of request letter, follow-up, pricing/value, tax issues, display and set-up), developing all promotional materials/brochures, payment/accounting/collection issues, thank-you letters and all related correspondence, coordinating auction events (bid sheets, signage, volunteers).
Coordinate and oversee all secondary OMYF fund-raising events including, but not limited to, online auctions, Game Night 50/50 Raffles, Game Night Silent Auctions, State Magic License Plate Program, SunTrust Magic Check Program. Responsibilities include: set up, development of marketing materials, coordination of money, receipts and merchandise distribution, communication with marketing department, requesting and tracking silent auction merchandise/items. Work with Assistant Director of Community Relations on financial updates, interaction with McCormick Tribune Foundation and the Orlando Magic Finance department on deposits to McCormick.
Assist the Assistant Director on Event Partnerships, Donor Advised Giving Campaign and the Grant Cycle.
Maintain and manage multiple databases for all OMYF programs and activities including, but not limited to: Orlando Magic Black Tie & Tennies Charity Gala invitation, Orlando Magic Players Championship for Charity, OMYF Advisory Committee, OMYF Beneficiaries, Partner contacts, Individual donations, Auction donation requests, Community VIP’s.
Assist with internal and external communications related to the OMYF.
Assist with activities related to the OMYF Advisory Committee.
Serve as OMYF lead for all team autograph sessions.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required (prefer a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration or related field).
One - three years related experience in event coordination/fund-raising and/or a charity/non-profit preferred.
Demonstrated organizational, administrative and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proven ability to work independently.
Proven customer service skills.
Excellent ability to service a variety of internal and external agencies, etc.
Availability to work long hours to include game nights and weekends as needed. Computer Skills (proficient with various general business applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Gifts For Windows is helpful).
