Broadcast Services Coordinator - New Orleans Hornets (New Orleans, LA)
Overall Purpose: This position is responsible for the execution and delivery of all contractual obligations as it relates to Television and Radio for the Hornets corporate partners.
Responsibilities: Specific duties include, but are not limited to: • Act as an internal liaison between the Corporate Partnerships and Broadcast Department • Ensure the execution of all broadcast commitments included in partner contracts • Oversee the transfer of all advertising materials (video tapes and audio tapes) from Team sponsors to appropriate internal and external suppliers. • Coordinate broadcast traffic administration by channeling tapes, copy, logo slicks, traffic instructions, and etc. to appropriate parties. • Communicate effectively with corporate partners at all levels regarding these deliverables as well as any other items related to their partnership agreement • Communicate effectively and work within the internal organization to insure the proper execution of all partnership elements • Assist the Corporate Partnership Sales staff with the creation and presentation of sales proposals to potential partners and the creation of added value to partnerships through new promotional opportunities • Perform all other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA): • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising/Broadcasting or related field, or comparable working experience • Minimum 2 years of professional or collegiate sports related experience with advertising and/or broadcast experience preferred. • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. • Strong time management and administrative skills. • Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail. • Outstanding customer service skills. • Exceptional computer skills with Stone Timber River software a plus. • Ability to work long and sometimes irregular hours, nights and weekends • Must work well and professionally with other people.
