Research & Direct Marketing Coordinator - New Jersey Nets (East Rutherford, NJ)
Reports To: Manager, Research & Direct Marketing
Summary: Nets Basketball seeks a Research Coordinator located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with an unparalleled work ethic and desire to be the best. As the Research Coordinator will you assist the Manager of Research and Direct Marketing in developing, analyzing, and maintaining all research/database systems and information for the Nets/Brooklyn and all of it’s operating properties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Develop, manage and implement team research initiatives focused on building strategy that directly impacts sales. Efforts include the management and implementation of all research initiatives across the company on the Team and Brooklyn sides.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Work in partnership with the Ticket Sales Team to maximize revenue generating opportunities that supports renewals, new sales and retention programs
Work in partnership with the Corporate Sales Team to maximize revenue generating opportunities that support renewals and activation programs
Assist in developing qualitative/quantitative research projects.
Assist in utilizing research/database information as an integral part of the daily operation for all properties of Nets/Brooklyn.
Assist in developing and maintaining all research/database applications of Nets/Brooklyn
Assist in developing internal offline and online market research projects of Nets/Brooklyn
Assist in developing direct mail and telemarketing campaigns using the database.
Assist in the analysis of the customer database.
Assist in developing sales presentations, sales pieces and video tape presentations for the purpose of revenue generation.
Participates in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements include the following:
Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years of market research experience preferred
Technically proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
Knowledge of statistical software solutions, i.e. Scarborough, Survey Software preferred
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
Basic understanding of Nielsen ratings applications and systems
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and oral skills
Strong team work skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Must work independently and self-motivate
Being able to think outside the box
