Manager Public Relations - New York Knicks/Madison Square Garden Networks (New York, NY)
Manage and publicize MSG Networks programming and Sports Properties to a diverse array of sports, television, trade, consumer and general interest media outlets. Assist in the execution of programming related pro-active publicity plans including devising and pitching specific story angles for print, television and radio. Develop and maintain media relationships in order to promote specific programming and events.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 – 5 years public relations experience in the television, sports or entertainment industry. Proven experience developing and executing a multi-media public relations plan. Strong knowledge of local/national sports media and off-sports media. Must have excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word. Bachelors degree required.
