Marketing Coordinator - Houston Comets (Houston, TX)
In conjunction with the Houston Comets business team, the Marketing & Website will be responsible for increasing awareness and driving strategic partnerships for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Serve as brand manager and point person for all branding activities. General oversight of day-to-day coordination of the following marketing functions:
Advertising;
Event planning and implementation;
Game presentation;
Internet activities, including website supervision and direct electronic marketing; and
Promotions.
Work closely with the Public Relations and Community Relations staffs to build and develop the public awareness for the Houston Comets with consistent brand messaging.
Maximize the marketing opportunities of all outlets including telecasts, radio broadcasts, corporate partnerships, community relations programs and events.
Coordinate with corporate partnership department, especially the service coordinator to
Develop new marketing programs and opportunities for corporate partners and to meet the marketing objectives of the organization
Prospecting, creating synergistic sponsorship proposals, and developing relationships between the corporate community and the Comets.
Oversee creation of department budgets and marketing and media plans
Perform special projects or other various duties on an ad-hoc basis as requested by team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of working experience
Marketing experience required
NBA/WNBA experience preferred
Proven at managing relationships
Self starter
Managerial experience preferred
Outgoing personality; ability to communicate in group setting
Possesses excellent communication skills
Proficient Computer/Microsoft Office knowledge
Bachelor's degree preferred
