Director, Community Relations - Golden State Warriors (Oakland, CA)
Description: Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the Warriors Community Relations department.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage the overall day-to-day operations and staff for the Community Relations department.
Act as the liaison between the Warriors organization and the Bay Area community partners.
Research community needs and maintain partnerships with community organizations in a continuous effort to remain proactive within the community.
Provide support to players during their Warriors community outreach in addition to players’ personal foundations and outreach efforts.
Create and implement sponsor community programs.
Organize and implement the NBA’s league-wide community outreach initiatives.
Oversee the completion of all scoreboard messages, online and in-arena auctions, including an accurate recording of all proceeds raised by the Warriors Foundation.
Act as the liaison for ORACLE community relations and ticket operations staff/contacts.
Manage schedules for Warriors legends - Alvin Attles and Nate Thurmond.
Manage and implement VIP experiences for Season Ticket Holders
Oversee “ORACLE Zone” and player ticket programs.
Manage Bay Area All-Star Scholarship program with Raiders, 49ers, Sharks, and A’s
Help fundraise and facilitate auctions for the Warriors Foundation
Required Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Ability to plan and prioritize work
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Employee management experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in the Community Relations field
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
